Kal-el's Unit Concept Sketches

You know I thought I had done the Jaguar Warrior as well but I can't seem to find it... So maybe I never finished it :D

I have Kinboat's Inti Warrior listed, do you mean his Jaguar Warrior? I thought he made one, but I can't seem to find it if he did.

I was also thinking about redoing some of my other sketches and then starting a new thread without all the crazy discussions. :)

I didn't see it.... :crazyeye: Sorry Kal-El....

I love your Incan units.

About your Zulu Art: The current Zulu Impi should be in the Spearman area. Theres a more advanced looking Impi that doesn't have the "Zebra" look, but instead wears mostly Red as well as gold. That would be a good Medival Infantry(The Lion Warrior is a good Swordsman)

I actually think that the Impi makes a better swordsman than a spearman since the Impi's spear was used more like a Roman gladius than a spear and was considerably shorter than a normal spear.

I'm thinking of making the Impi a Swordsman, too. What kind of stats, though? I was thinking (3.3.2) And Costing about 40 shields? (I've made Mid Inf cost 50)

the latest additions to my portfolio:

the Objective Force Warrior

The US Military's plan for the soldier of tomorrow. I have taken some liberties with the design, but it is based loosely on the images that are available online.

and, Future Warrior 2025
FW2025a.jpg

As the name implies the hope is to have something like this by 2025. These guys are equipped with all kinds of cool gadgets including an ultraviolet searchlight on the helmet, mini-rocket launchers on the forearms, reinforeced exoskeleton with artificial muscle enhancement, a self sealing suit that monitors the soldiers vitals and can administer necessary medicines, nanofiber weave camoflage that can adapt to the background, etc. etc. etc.

Looking good, Supes!

SOILD, Kal! Literally!

However, from a Military Standpoint, the Joints seem to be glaring weak points. I mean.. it is just so Obvious where to shoot.

Still looks Terriffic regardless

Also, I've got some requests ((Jesh. I'm making requests of everybody tonight!))

Three more Zulu/African units... A Scout, a Swordsman, and a Mid Inf. Some of use (Meaning me)use the Impi and Lion Warrior for other things... I'd be Appreciative.

yeah, I didn't go with my standard big knee and elbow pads.

Here's another. This time with a little more Chinese flair.
Wu Kong Sun Battle Armor: Named after the famous hero the Monkey King.

Those Future Soldiers look similiar to the Shadow Infantry done by Piernik, as well as the XCOM Blue Laser Infantry. Its always been the far future that has got my attention though, when soldiers fire at each other with lasers instead of bullets or missiles, and camo is a thing of the past, for various reasons.

Sword_Of_Geddon, camo will never be a thing of the past. Think of possible future types of camo.
1. Chameleon, where the armor has the ability to blend into the background.
2. Light Bending, aka invisibility.
Camo will never be obsolete as the ability of disguising your troops and decreasing the ability of the enemy to hit the same troops will always be there to increase the survivability of your troops.

Piernik's Shadow Warrior is also based on the FW2025. I would like to see Kinboat give it a go. :)

Not neccessarily....Think camo of any kind will be possible when soldiers have the ability to scan for lifeform signitures? Granted that won't be anytime soon. Another possibility is armor that makes projectile weapons obsolete like in Frank Herbert's Dune. In that scenerio, army uniforms are no longer drab, for example, House Harnokken's Troops wear bright red and black uniforms, and melee weapons return as the weapon of choice.
