Kefka's Random SG

The loss of the hanging gardens will be hard. It's one of my favorite improvements, I invariably build it in one city and use that city as a size 12 superprod city well into the industrial ages. A happy size 12 city doing 20+ shields a turn.. oh well.

If Kafka gets chivalry, and thus the chineese riders (4/2/3) I can prety much whipe out half the Indian empire in my turn.

For a successfull war against the Indians, I'm going to need 3 galleys to transport pikemen onto the indian's only iron supply (along with some workers to build a fort on it). Once that's gone, a force of swordsmen and riders will clear out all the southern cities on our side of the continent, fortify in the entrances to prevent counter attacks, then the stack of riders will simply clear out all Indian cities.

Though, it'll probably be like last time, me building up the forces and the next person actualy doing the war. Blah.

sorry I got a little busy so Im gonna have to skip this turn.

Sorry to hear that Kafka, I hope it was'nt something I wrote. I tend to be rather agressive...

I downloaded the game and played 10 turns, before I got too tired. Will finish up in the morning before I go to work.

Quick preview of the first 10 turns: So far so good though, we're now a monarchy, captured 2/3rds of the Indian empire (they _threatened_ me on my first turn, nobody, but NOBODY threatens me and just walks away.). The indians are a shell empire, was about to capture their capitol before I stoped for the night.. Only real resistance is a stack of 4 swordsmen that's wandering about in the north eastern part of the map. The two stacks of catapult and swordsmen/horsemen of ours seem unstopable.

Next 10 turns should involve the total destruction of the indians and massive upgrade of all our horsemen into riders. Who ever plays next will get to kill off the greeks and push the russians off our continent. Half the planet just to ourselves. Cool huh?

Sorry, had to rush to work today. Here's the save and summary:

Pre-turn, raised research rate to 50% to reduce time for feudalism down to 1 turn. Moved many workers around, moved troops towards indian lands. Switched Xinjan to settler, Kelfland to colloseum.

God Emperor Inky the II regains the throne, decalres himself king and war against the indians. Anarchy reigns for centuries as the despotism in place is removed.

(1) 710: Traded currency for the russian world map. Traded polyethism for 100 gold. Whent into Anarchy for Monarchy, 5 turns worth of Anarchy. Xinjan produced a settler. Captured Dacca, New Bombay, Killed 1 horseman, 3 spearmen, lost 2 horsemen.
(2) 720: New Deli destroyed, captured worker, killed spearman, horseman became elite. Bengal captured, killed spearman. Fort built on landbridge to indian lands, Upgraded Spearman to pikeman.
(3) 730: Captured Pune, swordsman killed. Hangchow settled.
(4) 740: Greeks start on Art of War. Killed indian swordsman.
(5) 750: Banglor captured, indian worker captured.
(6) 760: Greeks have destroyed the Babylonians. We are now a Monarchy.
(7) 770: Indians kill a spearman, we kill a swordsman. Bejing builds an aquaduct, starts library. Blue border spoted to the north.
*battle for bombay starts*
(8) 780: Lost 3 swordsmen, killed 2 swordsmen, 1 spearman. Germans found, bought their world map for 69 gold and literature. Decoy worker captured.
(9) 790: Lost 4 swordsmen and 1 horsemen, killed 7 swordsmen and 3 spearmen. Bombay, Kolhapur and 4 workers captured. Almost all production now horsemen and pikemen. Decoy worker recaptured, then placed in decoy position again. Hurried 3 temples in newly captured cities for 450~gold.
*battle for bombay ends*
(10) 800: Tientsin founded. killed 1 indian swordsman.
(11) 810: Killed 2 indian swordsmen.
(12) 820: GREAT LEADER FORMED! Kublai Khan found while a elite horseman unit attacked Lahore. Killed 1 swordsman, 1 spearman.
(13) 830: Bombay REVERTS! Damn them, takeing a spearman with them. Bombay re-taken, killed 1 pikeman. Lahore captured, killed 1 spearman.
(14) 840: Calcutta captured, killed spearman, horseman, lost 2 horsemen.
(15) 850: Indian Swordsman killed. 3 horsemen produced.
(16) 860: Indian Swordsman killed.
(17) 870: Pikemen pillage indian iron supply, no more advanced units for them. Indians start on "Art of War" wonder.
*battle for deli starts
(18) 880: Chivalry researched, Theology started. 3 horsemen upgraded to riders, 3 indian spearman, 1 indian pikeman killed, 2 indian workers captured. 2 workers captured by indians, 1 swordsman killed.
(19) 890: Army formed out of 3 riders, Delhi captured!
(20) 900: GREAD LEADER FORMED! in battle for Madras! Sun Tzu himself (it would be truely poetic to use him to create "art of war"..) Madras also includes the great wall, great victory all around. Killed 2 spearmen.

God Emperor Inky retires after nearly destroying his hated enemy the indians.

I recomend using the leader to build a forbiden palace or speeding up a wonder as soon as possible (so we can get annother one from all our elite units). The army of riders should be all but unstoppable in battle, and moves at 3. It might even have blitz ability. Anyways. I also recomend finishing the war with the Indians then consolodating our empire. If not wageing a quick war with the greeks. The russians and germans are on their own islands and have unique luxuries, but are technologicaly backwards. Calcutta will probably fall next turn since I had to move all our forces to take delhi and Mardas.

That's it. Hope I did well, it was a long bloody war of attrition but in the end the indians have almost nothing left.

Here's a screenshot. There's a rider and horseman next to our galley ready to take out the little indian island and the city of New Delhi.

I tested our little rider army in action, sure enough it does have blitz ability. 4/3/3 with 12 hp and blitz ability... Cool huh?

Oh, and who plays next, could you save that leader for makeing the Sistine Chapel in Inkavica once Theology is researched? I optimized Kakftland to produce Art of War as soon as physicaly possible (it'll finish before it runs out of food). So it'd be a waste to use it there.

Just a thought.

Further thought...

We should wait until the discovery of steam power, for the coal and the "Iron Works" small wonder, before building the forbiden pallace. A 150+ shield/turn city which would come from a ironworks and forbiden pallace combo would ensure our victory.

Yeah, realy tempting, whoever gets to play next gets to
1) kill off an enemy empire the indians who were just a few dozen turns ago bigger than our own empire,
2) finish off TWO wonders (art of war and sisteen chapel),
3) get to use an army of riders against spearmen, and...
4) play almost their entire turn with the civ in a golden age.

Don't suppose I can play two turns in a row? :)

Oh. Hmmm.

Oh!

Padma, you're not looking too well. Maybe you should lye down. Take some rest, away from the computer for a day or so.

(1 down, 3 to go... ) :P

Yes and Im planing on taking my next turn ;) so don't get too jumpy veryinky ;)
Padma mabey you should take the next turn and put Kevinicus back in His original spot ;)
cause he really kinda jumped up in turns in the second round :p

Ah well. It's just that I was having so much fun in that war with the Indians, wanted to finish it. That and I got an army in medival times, that never happens in my single player games. Heck, got a leader to spare to build the sistine chapel in just 1 turn. :)

Sigh. Well, here's hopeing there's still someone for me to kick around when it gets back to be my turn.

No go ahead Padma. Ladies first! ;)
I have a dod game anyway. BUT!! After Padma. I play.
