Kerbal Space Program

Well, there is a right way to play it. The mods are simply doing the right way for you. Honestly, docking is fast and easy, anyone that is too lazy to do what takes literally 5 minutes and provides a fun aspect of the game isn't playing the game correctly, IMO. What next? Using the mods to fly to other planets for you? Using them to land on those planets? Posting screenshots bragging about how epic you are for using a bot?
Once you learn how to dock it is always the same, you may find it funny but that is like your opinion, dude. (and i would like to see how you do it in 5 minutes). Anyway, i play games for fun, not to show someone else as cool i am or to achieve anything, i prefer real life to achieve things. Maybe you feel realized playing computer games, it is not my case though.

Attitudes like this make me laugh. Defending your inability to play a game by saying, "I have a real life." Pfft, don't come bragging here about your accomplishments on cheat mode.

Hey mate, i am not the only bragging about anything. It is you who claim achieving i dont know what and doing things without using mods and such. Who cares? I use all sort of mods all the time, and always left it very clear. Contrarily to what you think, there is nothing to brag about here and you start to look really ridiculous. Once again i would recommend you not to take computer games so seriously and get a life. Seriously. That way games will not look that important anymore.

Do you use any parts mods?

Further, given that the game is incomplete and still has notable deficiencies that the developers plan to address, what's your beef with people using mods to fix some of them? Do you even know if they won't include various automation features?

What are we, adults who enjoy playing games and having fun with them?

Or 12 year olds who need to one up everything and only play games to show off our accomplishments to others?

People who post their screenshots here are for the most parts not bragging. They are just sharing something fun they did in their game. This isn't a competition.. If you can't imagine yourself having fun in a game by using a mod, then maybe you're doing it wrong.

Goddamn gaming hipsters...

No. Vanilla all the way. I do not need broken parts helping me.
 You are the one true player!

(Not to mention that the present alpha state of the game is broken in many respects and incomplete. True players don't care about such trivialities - they are too busy playing correctly.)

My first SSTO Reusable Spaceplane. Not the greatest looker, but stock-master-race. :smug:

On a different mission; Aerobraking on Jool is really intense now.

Edit: BTW, anyone know of a good plane parts mod?

Remember the ICBM thing we were talking about earlier?

Well, I have two ideas. One: the airfield ~33km from KSC, as a short range, quick and easy target. Very good to practice on, beginners very welcome.

For a much more difficult target, hit one of the buildings of the second KSC. I'll be attempting this shortly. Distance from target will be slightly subjective, try to take a screenie from your impact with visible debris or explosions. Alternatively, upload video.

Direct hit baby!

Next time I'll try to hit the control tower or the second KSC.

Another edit since I don't feel like double-posting: aircraft-launched cruise missile :D

Good news here

The developer behind indie space ship creator Kerbal Space Program will offer all future expansions of the game for free to current owners of the original title, Eurogamer reports.

The offer will only apply to users who currently own the game and those who buy the title before the end of April, studio Squad stated. The decision to introduce free expansions comes in response to the player outcry that followed Squad's mention of a possible paid-for expansion available after the release of the original game.

Release date? Soon™.

It's in alpha currently, but it's very stable and playable. I'd strongly recommend you try the free demo (which has been updated recently) :)

It's on steam for a price so I was confused. Probably a pre order with free alpha access.

Kinda sorta. If you pay for it now, you get the full Alpha version of the game and any updates the game recieves, all the way up to and including the full release version. If you buy before April ends, you are also entitled to free expansions after the full release, which they have announced they will make. The price of the game will keep rising with each major update, so for instance, I bought it when it cost $17 and now it's at $21 or something. But I won't ever have to pay another cent for the any updates, the full game version or expansions. If you buy it now at $21 or whatever it's at, you'll be entitled the same. The price will keep rising until it hits the release price, which is the point the game will actually be released as a full game.

The demo is not the alpha version, it's a free, stripped-down version of the alpha that leaves a lot out. They previously said that they would never update the alpha (which was actually version .08 of the game at one point and you couldn't barely do anything) but they lied and updated it with more stuff so it gave a better picture of what the game is like. I don't know if they'll update it again though.

Huh. So the full price on this game will be like $40? I thought it was an indie title and would price more around $20 tops. I'll just wait for one of those 50-75% off summer/christmas sales anyway. It looks really cool but I'm not that interested in pre-purchasing.
