Kerbal Space Program

It is a rocket that blows itself up or decouples (violently) a bazillion pieces that go off in random directions and become debris. Kessler Syndrom is when there is enough debris that the debris hits satellites, which turn into debris which hit other satellites and so on until everything is debris.

So I built a refueling truck for my jet. Then I looked at it and thought, can it fly? Then answer is yes! hahaha

^^Tanker on right, plane on left. They are identical but the plane had a small unplanned disassembly on landing.

Mobile Modular Hab Units:

^^3 in a daisy chain

All I have left for the sounding rocket launcher, jet+refueler and mobile habs are some more testing and then I'll launch them to Laythe. They are all pretty light, under 20tons each which makes things easy. I've even developed a landing system for the sounding rockets and successfully drop-tested it. :)

____________

Something I don't understand about flying: It will only let me turn so far in any direction, then I have to stop pressing the button, then press the button again and turn some more. Rinse wash repeat

It's really odd and all of my jets so far have done it despite having lots of control surfaces.

Let me get my little army of worker bees into orbit and I will aggressive deorbit any space stations you guys put up.

With extreme prejudice.

I'm game, but I have pretty bogus internet, can't host. Piggybacking on an existing reddit or KSP forums server is a bad idea, since they seem to get exponentially buggier the more people play together.

My internet is fine, but my comp already does enough stuff in the background (and KMP servers take LOADS of cpu) so I can't host. I'd be interested in playing though.

OMG we can finally play the ICBM game in real time against each other! Ummm....where does everyone launch from? THe same place? How does that work? I NEED ANSWERS THE WARPII MUST PAY

My ICBMs will block the sun...

and yes, we all launch from the KSC. Minimum distance to third-party target: 40km.

Unfortunately I won't be able to play until probably after Christmas. Apparently the multiplayer mod has a bunch of bugs, so maybe waiting until they're ironed out is better for me anyway - KSP rage is the worst kind of rage.

One guy has a rover and is running around in a field, the rest of us launch missiles at him. Or bomb him from a plane. Or something.

By which time my Death Star Laythe Base will be fully operational.

So how does the MP mod handle when people try and have launches at the same time?

Edit: I performed a drop test on my Razorback Hab module and found my first easter egg:

It turns out that if you send a mission to Jool, by the time you get there, the launch window to send another probe to Jool will have opened up. It's a very weird bit of coincidental timing but it's fantastic if you are sending out convoys of stuff to Jool as you don't have to time accelerate on the pad to launch your next batch after the first one reaches Jool/Laythe.

The last time this happened, I test launched my first of the new landers in a test orbital mission. Got to orbit fine and saw the window was there, thought, what a coincidence and went for it. The exact same thing happened when I put this in orbit:

So it must be just that the timing works out perfectly between launches.

Now I have two of those Razorback Roverhabs on the way to Laythe.

I also massively overbuilt the launcher on accident. Kerbal Engineer gave me deltaV numbers that were supposedly just able to reach Laythe. Nope! I'm going to arrive with nearly a full tank in my transfer stage.

It doesn't let you launch until the previous launch has moved at least 40km away from the launchpad.

Regarding multiplayer:
It would be epic if we all worked on a massive base together on some other planet. It would cut down the time required to build one with all the infrastructure, launches and deep space cruising down considerably.

Or we could just blow each other up. I'm working on adapting my sounding rocket to function as a mobile missile defense station.

cool ls612!

Anyone tried it yet?
