King of the World #13: Asoka

Wow! I'm happily shocked at how well the trading and diplomacy have gone. And the back and forth wars have kept your enemies in check as well. Sweet... time to celebrate with some incense.

More cities in a landmass that does not contain the capital than in the landmass that contains the captial + city that can build palace in 15 turns or less ( normal speed ) in that landmass = AI moving capital .

I agree that is not normal, but in here Sal couldn't settle much of cities in the Old World proper, due to both Zara and Neal, so it was not a impossible outcome to boot.

I've often seen India do this on the World Map, taking over most of Australia and moving the capital there.

Well done, Neal, as usual. :goodjob: The fall of Byzantium was a sight to behold. I hope Ashoka will be sending copious gift to the Great Khan. While he didn't bring down Justinian single-handedly, he was the vanguard of your victory.

Excellent game! What finally became of the Mighty Khan though??? I am surprised he at least did not try to backstab you??

Whew! Part II is up!

Great great great read! There was some really good stuff, like Qin dissapearing after getting vassalized by Sury was really funny.
Anyways fun and good game! Very nice how your allies all turned out to be the powerhouses, which garanteed safety for you.

I finally finished reading all of the KotW series. Took me over a month :) Thanks for the entertainment Neal and keep up the good work.

Ps. First time poster on real civ4 forums \o/ (I normally lurk on the Fall From Heaven forums)

Wow, reading through all these KotWs really helped me with my game. In fact, you're the one that convinced me to try a bit of military takeover in my games. :D Thanks Neil, can't wait for the next civ!

Another great game. I'm equally surprised at how well Sitting Bull and Genghis Kahn () managed.

The thing about culture games - I'm about to win one myself if I can keep everyone hating everyone else to stop a UN win - is that one often feels marginalised from the exciting stuff going on elsewhere... but your write up of this game was one of the most entertaining I've ever read. Many thanks for this... I wonder what's next.
