Alright, i'll begin by typing up what I see and agree/disagree/like/blah blah.
** The OMGLAZERS State of the Union **
Ok, first off, to address why Baghdad is producing a Madrassa; I agree, we're definitely in no danger of losing it. But we are currently missing out on producing a copper and a corn by not having the borders expand. I'm going to first finish the madrassa and prior to it expanding, road up to the resources. In fact, this is so important, i'm going to whip away 1 Pop immediately and produce the Madrassa followed up by a barracks for the over-flow.
Here is what I plan to do for now: Mecca is currently producing axemen but without a barracks; losing these exp makes me

My plan is to bulb mathematics with the scientist for the sole purpose of being able to gain that hammer boost from chopping. The two forests adjacent to the lake then will be chopped while producing a barracks to minimize the time that the city is spent not producing units.
In order to do so, I need to change what the workers are doing. For some reason, Baghdad is producing a cottage. While the 1 Gold would but cute and eventually burgeon into more, connecting up that gem south of Mecca is much more important. It will allow us to grow everything by one more population point and that means more production, and more whipping. Same exact thing for the ivory. These happiness resources need be hooked up ASAP because our GP farm is going to quickly hit it's population cap and when it does, i'd like for us to be able to whip or produce while still having GP.
Our units are nowhere near ready to attack. Thanks to whoever did NOT promote them. Appreciate that. I will not be promoting any units untill we launch our attack.
Also, i'm pulling a warrior away from Baghdad to go scout out the cities and check out our opposition.
I feel that the capital needs to deter from the academy, which at this time will not provide a huge boost due to low beaker output and instead throw in his lot to get us on the warpath.
The Game:
First off, Aristotle discoveries Mathematics [how appropriate]
Whipping the Madrassa seems like a good move. In four turns after the start, the borders have expanded and The population regrows. No harm done there. Workers begin to work on the corn, and the second worker moves to Mecca to chop away.
Our Warrior scouts out the cities of the Americans and finds they are all guarded by two archers a-piece. Axemen suddenly look a lot less appealing. Oh, and did I mention, he has produced numerous chariots? Glad we have that iron because Axemen are officially obsoleted by these developments. NO more axemen are to be produced.
I'm glad Ivory was a priority. Taking research to learn Hunting proves valuable, since now we're going to need spears to counter his one-dimensional chariots. As soon as hunting is learned, I produce three spears. One two guard Medina and two to take for the stack. After Hunting, I move onto Masonry. Why Masonry? #1 to gain stone for #2 the wall we will need to repel any chariots that sweep past our main stack which could theoretically take out our cities unless we're careful.
In the capital, the first forest was chopped, and a barracks was produced. We hit the happiness cap and once the food bar was full, the second forest also simultaniously chopped. All these hammers go towards a worker which we desperately need. But since we hit the happiness cap, I whip away one person for nothing but overflow which goes into... a granary. Perfect for a GP farm. We're one worker up and a granary up, along with a barracks in no time at all. See; using that scientist for math didn't hurt too much, did it?
The worker scurries off and starts to erect a camp. The other moves to mine gems.
Apparently Roosevelt either completes or Oracles out CoL because suddenly, he discovers Confucism. We gain it, and it soon spreads to every city.
Just as im nearing 20-25 turns, something lovely happens. OH NOES, BARBARIAN STACK
I immediately begin to produce an axemen in Baghdad and move all units towards Baghdad in anticipation of a possible barb capture. It could be bad..
I whip out the axemen as soon as one production turn occurs, and one swordsman manages to make it into the city in time. The axemen and swords are both successful at repelling the spearman handily. No warriors even seen combat. Crisis averted!
Finally, Medina. I end on turn 30 which also has the culture of the city pushed in. We lose a square. Starvation sets in.
Next player needs to chop that forest and farm it so starvation does not take hold.
It also seems that roosevelt may have already pushed out another city. Hoo boy.
Things we need to decide are, do we produce a ton of swordsmen or do we produce a ton of spears and hope the axes survive to take on the cities.
I added some tiny notes of things I think should be finished.
