KotOR Mafia - game thread

My personal goal is to search for someone and reveal myself to him/her. It is not clear to me what effect that will have, if any. My victory condition is unrelated to either town or mafia. And it does not require being the last one standing, ie it's not a SK type role.

Wait, what? Have you been paying attention in the games you have played?

Well, he said don't judge someone based on their post count. No one was making a judgement based on that. So, to me, it came out of nowhere.

Also, you're asking a guy with ADD if he's been paying attention? You know the answer to that.

Looks like an admitted neutral role.

I'm sure there are a bunch of these in the game, especially one this large, and set in a star wars universe.

Not the worst lynch in the world, but it also doesn't do anything for our win condition either. Wiping out all the neutrals won't win the game.

Won't lose it either.

If you lynch nothing but neutral roles, it will lose the game.

You don't win unless you lynch the specifically anti-town mafia or serial killer roles. Unless of course, you are one of them.

For all intents and purposes, neutrals are townies with different wincons, not scum.

Zack is my next case as well. Not just because of "suspicious looking" behavior today but because it was distracting us from something he didn't answer from before and needs to. I don't really believe you wanted to save Winston for no real reason - not being part of a team with him, that is. If you can demonstrate that, it's ok, your given reason for trying to save Winston (and not realizing the lynch rules) is possible.

He said "many"

How many neutral roles do you think there are?

More than one.

It could make up a significant portion of the otherwise considered town population.

This is Star Wars, not Jedi versus Sith. Star Wars is a universe full of moral ambiguity, neutral folks like the Hutts, mercenaries, gangsters, but not necessarily full-on bad guys.

This is likely going to be the case. That's not going to stop you from lynching Dave, finding out he's (likely) not mafia, and continuing a crusade against darksiders that may or may not be fruitful. I'm just stating up front, this will likely be a massive distraction which will cripple our ordinary scum-finding efforts.

Why do I hate detectives? Because already, a massive wagon on a likely non-mafia.

Jarema admits he's not even sure Dave is scum.

Well? If I claimed detective and said I don't know but I been told, chicks from Hoth are mighty cold, does that mean we should lynch someone who claimed to be from Hoth?

It's fricking stupid.

What would we be doing if Jarema hadn't said a thing? We might be closer to voting for scum.

But I guess I'm just scum, and DaveShack is scum, and you've outed us on day 2. That must be the reason I'm objecting. I know whenever my partners are in trouble this early, I jump out of my seat with the kind of flinching you can only find from someone getting electroshock.

If there hadn't been a scan, we'd be doing actual thinking right now.

Zack's reasoning for voting to save Winston struck me as perfectly believable. More so than them being team mates, and both of them (plus any other team members) failing to read the rules properly before making an obvious round one link between them.

Sarcasm does not become you.

Oh hell, my signature is awfully wrong! The quote is from Pau Casals, not Claris! :run: I have always messed them up. :(

You've certainly mixed up the Rants thread with this one. :)

Is your ability related to this personal goal?

Nah, but I am on my phone and navigation is at best. So, I thought that a bit of spam would go unnoticed... :mischief:

You got a point there. I'm probably being to paranoid towards Jarrema. Let's see if DaveShack is scum, if he's not tomorrow we lynch Jarrema. Unvote; Vote: DaveShack.

This is such a common tactic, and sometimes can just lead to two town lynches, if Jarrema happens to simply be a paranoid cop or similar. It also doesn't provide any information for the following days, as both days were simply bandwagons.
