This is such a common tactic, and sometimes can just lead to two town lynches, if Jarrema happens to simply be a paranoid cop or similar. It also doesn't provide any information for the following days, as both days were simply bandwagons.

I belive Jarrema, here is why:
1: If he was a multi use cop, he would not post on day one, since it is obvious he would get killed and wasted.
2: If he is scum, he would not be doing this because for the scum, loosing one of their number is much more disasterous than loosing a townie is for the town, so it is a stupid idea for him to fake lynch a townie.
3: If Dave is connected to the Dark Side, he is either scum or may become scum. If he is cultist, that is even more reason to lynch him. Remember, on turn two the cult has at most two members, so we have a 50% chance of hitting the leader, at which point we can celebrate since we have no cult to worry about. Also, why was johnhughthom so quick to assume there is a cult and so fast to defend Dave?Fos: johnhughthom.

I haven't assumed there is a cult, just reminded everyone of the possibility. Nor have I been defending Dave, just arguing with people for the sake of it. Some of that may have come across as defending Dave, which is good, poor chap has been bandwagoned to death by you people recently.

True, but his defense was also fairly weak. Claiming Neutral could be mearly a way to get out of the lynch without doing anything. it proves he is not even claiming pro town. His claimed win condition also seems odd, though plausible. If what he says is the truth and he has links to the dark side, how can we know that once he fufils his claimed win condition he will not join the scum or make them stronger, or give some other anti town role a bonus? What he says sounds like it will benifit both him and whoever he "reveals" to. We have no reason to think that person will be town.

I can totally understand why it was difficult to understand a tally with only one player on more than one vote, and a runaway bandwagon 16 votes in front.
