Kyp's GMR Game (open sign ups)

The last turn hurts even more. So easy for EEE to conquer another massive chunk of cities.

I officially lost. Here is 2 pictures of my current empire EEE. Feel free to take the best road for victory! :goodjob:

Beaker per turn will be about 900 in the next 2 turns (another SP +25% with factories). Actually I shouldn't retire scientists in the cities right now, I just realise raw bpt is quicker than the waiting for the second GS.

Great tech rate. Rationalism is da bomb! Even with Persia i couldn't get away and win the game with Freedom.

The big major point of the game that didn't go well for me is when i attacked RStark with tanks for the first time. I lost too many units. The trick was to get their cities very fast and blitz EEE for the last stretch with atomic bombs.

Rationalism really shined near the end when you litterally jumped through the tech tree some turns after i got tanks.

I think that nearly all cities that Russia seized from Japan and Egypt and kept them as satellites initially saved their libraries and universities.
When Askia retook Thebes from Russia, I was astonished to see that the city saved its university even after it was conquered 4 timed in total.

I also at first didn't understand how the russians were able to be so fast in teching when majority of their cities (except two core russian cities) were satellites untill the industrial era. As we know, satellites have really low priority for building scientific buildings.
In the other hand, because of so many satellites, the cultural cost of rationalism tree policies was relatively low for Russia, and Catherine was able to adopt them rapidly.

I annexed cities with university early to catch up science rate of yours both after Artillary. It is public schools that made the difference.

The +1 happiness per major science building is a great SP keeping the empire happy and growing to annex cities.

Well, with 5 or 6 public schools and high :c5citizen: cities i couldn't get even close from your tech rate. This really shows the power of rationalism. But i did burn all my gs pretty early to get some key techs faster.

I bulbed 1 liberty GS for Chemistry, 1 or 2 for Artillary, 2 for Stealth, 1 for Fission.

2 free tech timed to grab Fussion to see Uranium and build Mahattan. What a warmonger approach!

Congrats, E, and Foffaren for surviving. And my old ally, RStark, for repelling the Persian invaders!...even if you did take help from my old enemies.

It would've been great to see this game play out with all its original players. Interesting how the new world really wasn't a factor at all. Though I bet there was some uranium over there.

Hello Onan! Nice to see you again :)

If controlled by Islandia, China might be more tough in resisting persian and russian attacks...

I think when playing a quick speed game with hostile neigbouring civs, colonization of the new world has become unimportant. But I believe that Russia has made an alliance with some CS from the New World to acquire their oil or uranium.

Russia had no CS ally except a minor one without oil or uranium.

Russia has to conquer some Chinese territory for some of those supplies but by that time Russian army has evovled to alumnium based, and there are ample aluminium supplies in old Russia.

Only Aztec was actually trying to colonize. Had 3 cities in the new world. If we count the southern islands as new worlds then Stark had the most.

At least my pharaoh lived out his days peacefully in his new palace in lands that never saw war. :)

After you left I never saw the joy in taking out New Thebes. Was more fun picking off coastal targets from Songhai and Perisa.

Looks like a different game. Why not start a new thread? :)
