Launch in Windowed Mode

Anyone know if there's a way to launch Civ 5 Mac in windowed mode without being able to change your video settings in game?

I put mine in windowed mode at the main menu>options>video options, there's a checkbox to go out of fullscreen. This also got me to the screen resolution choices, it was only on 1074x728 at the first startup.

Once you've accepted those video options, when you restart you will be in window.

You have to open the video settings and make your changes before you start the game. Then it will tell you to exit the game to make the changes active.

If you can't get as far as the video options screen then you may be able to edit the settings in the GraphicsSettingsDX9.ini text file. The fourth line from the end of this file should say FullScreen = 1. The last two lines are the width and height of the game display in pixels. Change the 1 to a zero for Window mode, adjust the width and height to suit your screen (or use 1024 x 768 to get started) and relaunch.
