I pity the fool who underestimates the power of the glorious forces of the Evil Empire of the Peoples Very, Very Democratic Republic of the Soviet Union!
And now, after that burst of spontaneous patriotism and international solidarity from our comrade newsreaders, a communique issued from the Kremlin:
"I, Beloved Comrade Simon Darkshade of the Soviet Union, note tersely the ceasefire between the two regional powers of the ZA and the AZC. The peaceloving peoples of the Soviet Union offer the services of the United Nations here in Moscow if necessary.
It seems there is less fighting spirit among the elders of the Zulu; this is good, as we have no wish to engage in any imperialist wars of conquest.
But, in accordance with the invitation of the new Peoples Government of the hamlet of DungDung, on the northern border of Zululand, the military forces of the Soviet Union spoken of in the last report will remain as a "defensive" peacekeeping force.
The Supreme Soviet has ratified this action, and the shipment of 20000 Hungarian umbrellas as a gift to both sides.
We will wait and watch, and respond with overwhelming force to any aggression against our eternal allies in DungDung.
We note the presence of the AZC, and remind them that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"
Our forces remain vigilant, and the airlift section of the Red Air Force is working night and day, shipping in vodka and borscht for our heroic Soviet troops, all of whom have specifically volunteered for this posting out of a sense of class solidarity.
And, to celebrate this mighty crusade, a grand celebration entitled 'We Love the Comrade Day' shall be celebrated throughout the cities,factories, and collective farms of our Soviet Motherland.
