Light In The East: Civs Of The Orient(And Beyond)

Yay! internet fight!

Also North Korea will have the ability to not be affected by foreign tourism as much as a regular civ!

Hm... I wonder how (and if) that'll be coded differently from either Last Sword's Tibet or Paraguay.

And apparently no one cares about the Ainu

Untrue.

I'm extremely intrigued by getting yields when units are captured/killed, for example. How does that work (if it's not saying too much by answering)?

I just wanted to add that I am more excited for the Ainu than I am for any other modded civ currently in active production. Their design looks excellent.

Basically, if one of your units gets killed your closest city (to where the unit got killed) will receive a certain amount of a yield (Food, Culture, Science etc.)
But no worries, the amount isn't big enough to kill off your units on purpose.

I'm trying to resist the urge to mod in Rimururu and/or Nakoruru as leader(s) for the Ainu. :P

They do look neat, though!

Thanks! What series are those from btw?

Words mean things.

And this one means Europe+Asia+Africa, which is what I meant.

I'm intrigued by the Heper Set.

Eh, doesn't do much besides faith on animal tiles. I mean it is a simple bonus, but a pretty decent one.

Oh wow, thanks a lot man!

But it comes early enough that it should guarantee a Religion. And since it comes with the Shrine at Pottery, it's a no-brainer which one you should bulid first.

I decided to post the Ainu design, because why not? All they need is art after all.

dance of the aurora.
(here goes the hype train)

Samurai Shodown -- mostly a series of fighting games, but there was a couple of anime OVA episodes. Rimururu and Nakoruru are both supposed to be Ainu characters, although I'm not certain how authentic they are. Still, their outfits do seem to be inspired from Ainu designs, and their movesets are apparently written in the Ainu language. :D

Alright! I have decided to reveal the last civ we will reveal before we release another civ. Take your guessing positions!

Google says Marakanda was Samarkand's name when Alexander the Great got to it. I figured if it's Persian, it must be the Achaemenids.

Alright

So Cyrus will get the Immortals and a mounted UU(not a horse). Darius will get a Naval UU and the Satrap's court, which will come much earlier and replace something else instead of the bank, since there are 2000 years between the UB and the renaissance era in real life. Cyrus will have the capital at Pasargadae and Darius will naturally stick with Persepolis. Darius's UA will be about reducing unhappiness as the empire gets larger and also getting the uniques of conquered or puppet civs as well as hinting wonders and golden ages. Cyrus will be all-out war and expansion.
