How about Bender Bending Rodriguez? He would make it so the unit icon still remains relevant into the late Information age.

I agree that if the UU is a GG replacement it needs 2 models (and icons) - that's how the regular GG works.

It's not how GG replacements like the Khan usually work, though.

The Revolucionario and Houngan in Leugi's Cuba and Haiti both have ancient and modern versions as the regular great people, so the precedent is already set. If there's a chance to include something awesome like a Trojan Hero shooting everything down with a machine gun, and it fits the overall game design - it should be used.

I think that can be done. I have no qualms about doing 2 icons for one unit since I get to draw real heroes. Since the base of the Civilization is enshrined in myth. It would be good to take the most famous heroes such as Superman, Wolverine and Wonder woman. What do you guys think about this proposal? The unit model would be fun too

You should probably use the Doomguy model, we can say it is G.I. Joe or whatever.

I like that idea, it could be Superman, G.I. Joe and Wolverine. It would go well with the most famous one, Tech and then ...abs? Just so we have diversity, although Ironman seems better to me than G.I. Joe. Captain America is good too.

Yeah but try finding a model with proper battle animations for those guys. I just say pick the Doomguy. He is just another hero

I don't think it is a good idea to use superheroes. They'll be far too unbeliavable. Ancient heroes were just very capable people who sometimes received some help from the gods. Superheroes do stuff that's completely inhumane, and would break from the overall aestethics of the rest of the units.

Having superheros would be awesome, but personally I have a lot of trouble getting unit models so I'd go with the Doom guy since he's already been made.

But it wasn't anything like we see in superheroes, it was far more "beliavable". Also there's the fact that for them, it was real, while we know that superheroes aren't.
