LINESII- Into the Darkness- Part II

They have a fairly pathetic, ragtag fleet, and barely enough troops to maintain the Island Fortress' walls. A hard blow will shatter them.

Hope, as they say, dies last. ;)

After I genocide it, it will. ;) But this is becoming spam again, and this thread is becoming notorious for spam andensuing mod intervention. Iggy, so the update is on Friday?

Khemri is the most distant. You know nothing of the eastern coast, and only distant rumours of the Bladeists.

To: Arcadia, and the World
From: Norvalin

Quite recently, we recived the following message-

To Assemblum Popularum Norvalin
From Bishop Caen of Arcadia

You ignorant fools! Do you not think we have ears in that little assemblum of yours? Do you not think we hear the way the wind howls? Do you think that there is a chance in hell you will get away with this treachery?

Not once have we shown any aggression towards you, a people we still consider our allies! You betray us at every corner and yet we still consider you our friends! I guess it shows you what friendship really means to you all, doesn't it?

Are you ignorant of the past of this world? We are the descendants of your ancestors greatest allies! Time after time we supported your ancestors without uttering a single word! Our men died together in the hills of Khermi! And now you seek to break all bonds of friendship for your own damn greed!

Now this now and read this very carefully: Should a single Norvalin souldier step onto soverign Arcadian soil we will burn you to the ground. You are not the only one with allies you fools. We will burn Unias. We will burn Varlas, We will burn Paridum. Your allies may come and defeat us, but I swear your will go up in flames before it can happen!

Retreat from our borders immediatly. We have no intention of attacking your pitiful people. But know this:you will not get away with anything. We have ears throughout your assemblem, throughout your army, and throughout your populace. Take this warning and do the right thing: call off this ridicoulus attempt of war you bring.

The truth of the matter is, we of Norvalin did intend war, without thinking of other options. But we, unlike those of Veritas of old, understand that sometimes mistakes can be made. We wish to undo this mistake, before thousands of lives are lost. We wished for war because Arcadian forces pushed Norvalin converted Arcadians from their homes in Venix. We did not want to retreat, and so we of Norvalin intended to fight a war, just so that the former Arcadian Norvalins would have their homelands back.

And now, we understand how stupid we were. War is a last resort. It is not something that is undergone unless every other option is unreasonable.

To that end, we propose the following treaty.

The Treaty of Venix

Seeing as thousands of Norvalin have their homelands in Venix, Arcadia cedes Venix to the Norvalin government. In exchange for that, Norvalin signs with Arcadia an eternal peace.

We urge Arcadia to accept this treaty. Otherwise, we belive we will then be out of options, and we will be forced to invade.

To Norvalin
From Arcadia

Your lies have no place with us you fool. You say thousands have their homes in Venix? What about the countless more Arcadians that call the city home and who, with their hard work, have built the city! The four thousand, a mere fraction of the population, have already left Venix to your squallard lands. Do not say one thing and then speak out of the corner of your mouth to us. Venix is Arcadian. Do you even know of the city of Venix? It was built by Pirian faithful, the faithful that outnumber the rest of your pitiful tratiors.

We thought you foolish valin would have learned your lesson after the second exile and yet your still the same: greedy and sinful! You go against the One by openly seeking to annex soverign Arcadian lands and bring war to your faithful allies.

The only way thousands of lives will be lost if you intend on keeping your course. We do not fear war. Our soverignty will never be surrendered. We will fight to the last man until you are pushed back to your native borders. Do not think you can win this war. Your government, like all republics, is riddled with our spies. We will know where you strike, where you break all bonds of brotherhood. Avoiding this war is entirely in your hands. But know this: you will not win.

OOC: Iggy if he invades me, shouldn't some of his people be unhappy and not go along with his foolish plan? I mean, Arcadians (due to Davians) have always been the Valins greatest ally, and that should count for something.

To The Valin League
From Arcadia

Do you see the pitiful way your brothers treat your greatest allies? We stood with your people through the thick and the thin, through it all until the Valins themselves gave up hope. Yet Norvalin seeks to claim a soverign Arcadian city that has no place in Norvalin. We ask that you condem you sinful allies before the invoke the anger of the One once more.

Most Norvalins would like to see you united, but they definitely do not want a war with you. Some are growing angered at their government for its somewhat aggressive move, some are upset about the harm to relations, and a few diehards support war.

Our offer stands. One, small city, we wish for, as it is the home of four thousand of our people. Your army forced them out of their very homes (this is true, read the update) and we cannot allow our brethren to be exiled again.

Though it was at one point, war is no longer our primary plan. All we want is our people's homes back. The territory we wish you to cede is negligable, but if you do not give it up, we have no choice but to go to war with your nation.

Don't suffer any illusions about how such a war would go. Your army is made up of only 2000 Spearmen, and 14 Slops. Our army consists of three thousand spearmen, one thousand Returned, one thousand swordsman, and our navy is more that twice your size. Furthermore, we outproduce you nation half-again.

All we want is one small city, that we consider your nation to have occupied unlawfully. We would be disgraced if we persued war after ataining that goal.

Give up Venix, and you never have to worry about Norvalin agression, ever again.

Not really. Read the update. Venix really is a Norvalin homeland. And, regardless of that, Norvalin would never leave the alliance.
