LINESII- Into the Darkness- Part III

Do not forget that our people sacraficed many (nonstat) militia in helping you. The eco center (Trinlin) must remain in our hands. Other than that, you owning the Eastern bank of the river is acceptable.

Our 'ideal peace' remains as it has always been.

Trinlin was a vital part to the war effort, we will not forget this.

We can agree to your proposal.

OOC: Thlayli, get your facts straight before you write a story about another person's monarchy, first off Arboleg is third in line for the thrown. His eldest brother Thalmhend is heir to the throne and has been ordered by his brothers to move to Swade. Arboleg I am afraid would have been very hard for you to catch, and in all likelihood he is safe within the confines of the jungle. I am guessing you have captured Rufus. He is the country oaf. He likes dressing up like heroes. If you visit his chamber now you will notice he is probably urinating on himself and chucking feces at any human nearest him. Humorously this is his impression of you. So, you have the wrong guy:)

We must disagree with some of these proposals. We can not accept a cap on our navy. A navy is necessary to protect our interests and a cap on it will be harmful to our progress. More over we do not want ancient Bladeist cities to be placed in the hands of Aryie. These cities are sysmbols of Bladeist ingenuity, and we do not want them to fall into the hands of traitors. We propose the following borders.

Moreover New Veritas must release all Bladeists from captivity captured in this war and allow them passage to Myocaca. Also Veritas must recognize Otaria.

No, I'm quite sure that I captured Arboleg. You didn't write about him leaving the city, and you started this by writing about my Tactius' injury...so I'm quite justified here.

We are willing to raise the naval limit to 60 Bladeremes or 25 Titans, but will not raise it further. In addition, Myocaca must pay the price for invading Aryie and overthrowing its government. We insist that Trenta and the western city remain under Aryiean control. Veritas is willing to repatriate captured prisoners, and we recognize the existance of Otaria. This is the joint decision of Veritas and Guangfei.

OOC: Iggy was the one who said it happened, not me, I merely made my general kill himself playing around with loopholes, you captured a prized general of mine. You made history, I merely interpreted it

We will except the naval cap. But we refuse to give up Victaro. Moreover we were saving Aryie from becoming vassals to Guangfei, so we do not think we should be pennalized for only protecting bladeist citizens. Our demands are for the city of Victaro. ARyie has been rewarded enough with the plentiful fields now in their posession.

ARboleg stood outside the burning city. The tears still filled his eyes. His platoon was only 20 men. He would make for the city of Helmthorn and resupply.

A prized member of the Platoon was Guzzo. Not only was he the best shot but he could resight any scripture, and did so with every shot he took. Thalmen was sergeant. He assisted the captain in command duties and was a good man with fire.

Joshua was the biggest and always had a pipe handy. Saul was the medic. Youngest at only 18 years of age. The platoon moved out at dawn.

------------------------------------------------------------------

"So I guess we lost the battle."

"Bastards!"

"Captain what do you think is going to happen."

"My brother will handle peace negotiations no doubt. Maybe Khemri will come once more, maybe the Valins will all die off. Who can tell."

--------------------------------------------------------

After a weeks journey the platoon made it to the fortress city. Arboleg sat within the temple walls and began to pray. Peace had been a thing of the past. Myocacan men had been going off to die since the Lengel invasion. And when peace could finally be realized the Valins invaded.

"PRaying my son?" FAther Bathra sat beside the young Prince.

"Yes father."

The priest looked at the wounds on the young man's body. His son had died in the war. Slain on the docks of Sanctus Tutela. He had been a member of Arboleg's platoon.

"Do you know why we hold the blade in such reverence my son."

"Because it is the ultimate tool of war."

"So blind you still are. The world does not understand but our reverence for this blade is for its holy properties. Only the Blademaster takes the soul and our life force. But this blade releases our souls and ends our life. What other human tool can be used in such a way. Whether it be a blade of a sword, arrow, or spear they are all the same. But they must be used restraint. The Swade once used such restraint but they were tainted by the hopes of greatness. Control is the only way to master such a gift as the blade. Ballistae and explosives kill people at random. There is no elegance, no control in such use. IT is the way of the barbarian.

Do not forget the teachings of Huitzil our religious founder. Do not forget Fasra, nor Araguern or Wilipo. These men knew control. A man who can Kill a hundred men is a good soldier. A man who can capture a hundred men is a legend."

"Father, I am afraid your son did not die as Guzzo told you. He was captured. I sent him off to find as many men and tell them to make for the passage. I gave him my necklace. It has the holy seal on it, He was to show it to any man who questioned his orders."

"He will be redelivered."

"I doubt it. I saw him get picked up by a group of knights. They identified the medallion. They know its the seal given down to a prince. I am afraid he may never be seen again. Even if he is kept alive, they think he knows a good amount of information. Sadly he can't tell them anything and it will be his death."

"My son, War is cruel. This death is just another offering to the altar. We cannot change the past. My son is dead, I shall not shed a tear, to many have already fallen on this soil."

"Goodnight father."

"Note well how a Heros toils are rewarded,"
-Theitic; Khemrian Historian

The Knight returned to the capital with little foreboding; he knew he could bring the circle of aristocrats to its knees; their leader Archduke Konstance however was no fool, and such a conflict would shatter the nation the Knight had worked hard to build. And thus he deceided to make his final great choice; submission. And with this act he gained some measure of power over the ensuing events.

The Archmagi assisted the Knight in his plans and tribulations; The Archmagis order partially protected by their secrecy and their network of informants. The Archmagi also seduced the Knight; being secretly female, hence the charade of wearing something concealing the entire time. [1]

Lastly the Knight was ordered to come with his retinue to the Court of the Young King. Where the Archduke whispering posion into the Kings ears had the Great General sent off to his former conquests, and to remain their in exile. His presence in the capital 'consituted a grave danger to the King'. The "United Kingdom had forged a weapon so terrible in the Body of the man now present in front of the King that he must be kept in seclusion for the saftey of all,".

And thus the Knight spent the rest of his life in the city of Keranopolis, unrecognisable out of his armour. Amusingly enough he arose to captain of the Guard of the city, the men under in guard where said to be able to defeat the best of the Kings own Guard such was their Skill. And his son has all this knowledge impressed upon him.

Thus the Knight passed away an old man; in an unmarked crypt of a Tower of Heaven. His Wife, considerably younger, took up his sons education, filling it out.

The Archduke one the other hand secured his grip on the weak King Erias who had since The Knights Exile begun to grow a backbone.

[1] No way in hell am I going to expand that into a story; I can imagine the cheesyness now. But yes the Archmagi had always been a Women.

Iggy wrote about the Injury its in the update, how about reading it.

We're traitors now. D:

At the end of the long battle, Thranwuir was captured, severely injured, and brought before Tactius. It is unknown whether this was to gloat, or some other purpose, but the results are now famous. Thranwuir prophesized that Tactius would die for his violence- then attempted to fulfill his words by pulling a broken sword from his scabbard and hacking Tactius in the right arm, cutting halfway through the elbow. Thranwuir died a second later.

So, um, yes, it was in the update. :D

Oh, it was that issue which was such a big deal...

Heh.

I put words into his character's mouth, too.

I shan't offer my opinion on this, but rather, I'll let Iggy decide, being the Supreme Moderator after all.

I feel for you, Thlayli. Artistic license and such. D:

Thlayli, if your men come into a close encounter with mine put all the words in their mouths you can think of. I have no problem if you want to have one of your men come up to one of mine in a close face to face battle in the jungle where my guy is a complete . .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ITs propaganda when it comes down to it. We portray our enemies the way we want them to appear, and also my story just made for the explanation. You have captured a priests son who was Arboleg's trusted friend who was in possession of a royal medallion seal. Hence when your men found him they thought he was the prince, and of course a small language barrier makes words a little confusing.

And lightfang I do not object to him portraying my people, and he can capture a few men in my story, in fact I would encourage Thlayli to capture one of the members of Arboleg's platoon. Just don't go capturing one of my key generals.

OOC: You mean accept right? Or do you mean like accept everything except the naval cap? Sorry...

To Myocaca
From Guangfei

Guangfei never had the intention of turning Aryie into a vassal of Guangfei but to restore her to her previous independent status. While we are sure Myocaca's intentions were well, they still turned Aryie into a vassal state of Myocaca as opposed to Guangfei where they did have to pay tribute to Myocaca.

The city of Victaro, situated in the western portions, is perhaps vital for Aryie to serve as a buffer state between Guangfei and Myocaca. Perhaps the northern coastal city shown ceded to Aryie in Guangfei's original proposal be restored to Myocaca in exchange for Aryien control of Victaro?

Oh, answering my resolution to the story problem: Veritas got the wrong guy. Wubba's reasoning is sound, and it is annoying having your story fodder taken away from you. Sorry to all those troubled.

We accept the deal. Victaro will be left to Aryie, but Myocaca will gain the western city. Moreover, Aryie will permit all citizens of Myocaca in those area gain dual citizenship if they wish or simply move into Myocaca.

Don't patronize on the treatment of Oneists. We have cared for them for thousands of years as our own people and have destroyed a former ally to protect their sovereignty. You on the other hand should pay 1 ep for the thousands of bladeist deaths and attrocities you have commited against the Bladeist race this war. For your attack on my kingdom and for your agression I believe you should pay 1,000,000 gold coins(1 ep) to my empire which will be invested into rebuilding my people.'

OOC: yeah i know what u mean, I actually realized what I did after I sent the PM to iggy telling him to make the nation. I still love the name:)

While Guangfei would rather not interfere, if the Valins should pay Myocaca for the deaths in this war, shouldn't Otaria, as the successor state of the Swade invaders of Exilsium, pay the Valins a proportionally larger price? Since even if the White Rider slew Evern IV Wilipi, he had no right to live and settle Exilsium instead of returning it to the Valins...
