(0)1075AD: Preflight check. The gold is eeking out of our precious civilization at quite a high rate. Something needs to be done about this. I trade Alex one of our Corns for 4 gpt. Stops the bleeding a bit, but not by much. I don't want to start trading our techs away either.
I'm sort of in agreement with Muf about attacking Alex... Sort of... You see, Ghandi had nothing to trade me for that corn. And Alex has a large pile of promoted units sitting around in his cities. So I will be going along with this "Attack Ghandi" plan, although I doubt we'll have the strength during my turn.
Oh yeah. I noticed we never even RESEARCHED horseback riding, thereby denying us our UU. Too late to remedy that now, although we'll need to get it for knights.
(1)1080AD: Morbid Mistress begins chopping trees outside of our city radius.
Liq, my gut feeling here is to turn S&M City into a new Colonge. There's just a TON of forested land to the south covering up all the tundra. It would be no good if we chopped it. I'm thinking we should farm out the land north of S&M, and lumbermill the south. Forget the cottages down here, as there isn't that much food to go around.
Y'know... I just realised, we can't build lighthouses on lakes. So our cities ringing our nice freshwater lake aren't really getting too much of a bonus out of it, although it's as good as an ocean with a lighthouse to them.
I send S&M Settler on his way. I'm pulling up some units standing in the middle of safe territory to go with him, although he'll have to wait a bit.
Some barbarian warrior is hanging out on our Stone. I clobber him with an Axeman.
IBT: Lars Deforrest takes out a barbarian swordsman that attacked him.
(2)1085AD: The rate at which we're hemmoraging gold is nuts. Serious have to build some courthouses. They should take priority from now on.
IBT: Lars Deforrest clobbers a barbarian archer.
(3)1090AD: Maceman done it Rockland. Good and bad. We're beyond unit maintenence already by 10 gold. Strangely, Market is preferable to courthouse here, as courthouse would only save us 1 gold, while market would multiply our income. Start on Market.
Deux Riveres founded at the little lake with two rivers

, one square below the ruins. I notice that the gold is unfortunately within Alex's borders now. We're going to have to work for it.
(4)1095AD: Rexburg finishes a maceman. Start on market.
Turn science down to 30%. Still bleeding 3 gpt and only 19 gold to go. Will run for as long as possible.
(5)1100AD: Construction comes in. We can now build catapults. Yay. Tough descion on what we need next though. I opt to go with Drama. It's off the AI's beaten track, and the other techs aren't really useful to us, or will take too long to research.
KB done the forge, start on courts.
Liquidia done the forge, start on market.
(6)1105AD: FINALLY! Lord McCauly decides that we don't suck anymore and rates us the largest civ in the world! Well... that just means we have more land to defend.
I decide to send Morbid Mistress down to Deux Riveres to make a road there, and in general make the place habitable.
Ugh... Fabulous. I try and find trades with everyone, and suddenly, Alex, the only person I'm trading with, is there worst enemy. Ghandi and Izzy both hate Alex. This sucks. I don't want to break the trade with him, because it's getting us more money. Yet I don't want people trying to kill us.
(7)1110AD: Uh, wow, nothing happened except a chop came in for Rockland.
(8)1115AD: Library done in Eagle's Nest. Start on courts. We need food in here so we can work those high shield tiles...
(9)1120AD: Morbid Mistress starts the road, more chopping being done outside out borders
(10)1125AD: LOL. Izzy tries to threaten us for Metal Casting. I say take a hike.
Turn Synopsis. We need a war to get us out of this economic slump. It's not that we lack the money to research, but a lot of that money is going into troop maintenence. As well, we have paltry amounts of maintenence around, which is quite annoying since courthouses will have minimal effect.
The stack is stationed near Bombay, and can make a quick attack on it, although without cats, it will be bloody, as I haven't built any yet. We can quickly retool over to military production in most of our cities, but our economy will take more hits from that.
Stack near Bombay.
