(0)1660AD: Preflight check. First thing I do is go to the finances screen and see where we are bleeding cash. Ok! Civics and maintence are both bad. So is unit upkeep, but we need units...
I flip us over to vassalage. The upkeep is 5 gold higher for the civic, but the extra experience is welcome, as well as the +16 free units (which should more than counterbalance the 5 gold extra).
I whip the courts in Corinth and Sparta. Still have enough pop to work the cottages, so I'm not mad.
Why are Dehli and Bombay making 1 move units? They're on the wrong side of our empire for doing that... I switch them to Keshiks. These will be our first Keshiks of the game! And they'll probably only be good for pillaging and harrasment.
(1)1662AD: Government back, we're bleeding... absolutely nothing less... Baffled, I look around. Oh... Damn lol. Beuarcracy was boosting our capital's gains. Damn. Oh well, at least we get more units with experience now.
I smash a catapult coming towards Delphi with a maceman. Our forces are spread really thinly...
Salamanca's defenses are down, and with two piddly longbowmen, we should be ok.
Suicide cat 1 goes in... and dies. Now we pay 2 less gold in upkeep lol.
I send in cover promoted Maceman for the first smackdown of a longbow.
Next... I send in an Elephant... he dies. Then a city attack maceman... and he dies. Finally, ANOTHER elephant for the win. Jeeze. One longbowmen caused so much trouble...
Salamanca burns for a nice 70 gold. I'm going to send the rest of the units towards the Jewish Holy city and burn that too.
(2)1664AD: Rexburg- Mace -> Mace.
KB- Pult -> Pult
Rockland- Missionary -> Missionary. It occurs to me that I should check if we have any cities left to convert.
Liquidia- Pult -> Pult
Eagle's Nest- Pult -> Pult
Sparta- Courthouse! -> Granary? I dunno. Not making a lot of hammers.
Corinth- Courthouse! -> Uh... I dunno, a lighthouse?
Elephant flawlessly desposes of Izzy Longbowmen that ran out into the tundra. Silly Izzy...
Zaragoza is dead next turn. All units have reached it, and it's defense is now gone.
IBT: Izzy's maceman dies attacking the Elephant that killed her Longbowman last turn. lol. Oh and the Barb Macemen moves forward.
(3)1666AD: Oohh. Creepy year number

.
Ok. Suicide cats on Zaragoza! Suicide cat 1 withdraws! Good job! Although he didn't damage the unit he attacked, collateral is always good. Cat 2 also withdraws! Yay! Two less cats to rebuild.
Cat 3 dies, phooey... And he had the best odds too. Cat 4 also dies.
Bigman Gibs goes in and rips up the joint.
After that, the rest of my units have 100% chance to win

. So there goes Zaragoza.
IBT: A nasty Spanish Pikeman comes in and kills the brave 2 time winner Elephant. May he rest in peace.
(4)1668AD: Izzy adopts Theo and Vassalage. Took you long enough Izzy... And you get free civics change!
IBT: Izzy kills one of our macemen with a Crossbowman. Then asks for peace! No way!
(5)1670AD: Defenses continue to fall on most of Izzy's cities. Unfortunately, we have a slight problem because our Jewish Holy City task force may have been cut off... We'll see though.
(6)1672AD: Ready to sack next turn. Unfortunately, Pampalompa's catapult just got there this turn. Grr..
(7)1674AD: I burn Santiago at the cost of 1 cat, 1 mace, and 1 elephant. Not too bad... but not too good.
Units at Barcelona are way overextended... I'll be lucky if they survive.
IBT: Brian Bloodaxe is killed by a Catapult! Damnit!
(8)1676AD: 2 Cats face off against Vitoria's defenders. 1 dies, the other withdraws. Two maces then handily wipe out the enemy. 1 is a Bigman to be

.
Izzy's forces have a gap in them, so units at Barcelona are withdrawing to avoid further losses.
(9)1678AD: Forbidden Palace is being started in Bombay. Don't know of a better site for it right now.
I level Pampalompa. ARG!
OMG! She made ANOTHER ONE! And there's a BARB CITY! OMG! I was hoping to reunite my forces, not split them even more... sigh...
Units are descending on Cordoba from all sides. With only 2 defenders, it is doomed.
(10)1680AD: We have a great merchant. I use him on Guilds. I then switch research over to finish guilds in 1 turn. Yay knights.
Cordoba pisses me off. And so does our unit Maintenence. Also, we are getting war weariness. So I rush Cordoba at the loss of a maceman and a keshik. Wooo.. More money for the war chest.
(11)1682AD: This war is making me sick! Can't stop the bleeding of cash because we have too many units, and they're all bumming around in enemy territory.
(12)1684AD: Mass of units moving west. Most are not stacked, because now I'm paranoid of Izzy's catapults.
(13)1686AD: Bombard Izzy's new city. It's going down next turn I hope.
Moving masses of units on Izzy's southern city. It's overkill but...
(14)1688AD: Nothing really. My units aren't in place yet. Stupid cats are so slow!
(15)1690AD: Burn Izzy's ridiculous new city to the ground. Let's hope it's the last of them.
Bombay in unhappy. Boo hoo. I whip the forbidden palace to teach them a lesson.
Turn Synopsis. Particularly bad warmongering from me this turnset, I apologize. Izzy threw units from all directions, and having to attack a huge border is not that great either. Fortunately, now we've shrunk the border. The units are concentrated now, so further resistance should be laughable (but watch out for Izzy catapults coming from Barcelona (Jewish Holy City)). Burning Barcelona should net us nice cash, as well as deny Izzy her shrine.
Here's the attack force for you. Should be more than adequete.
IMO, we should run through the forests in the south and CHOP EVERYTHING! Ridiculos forests are slowing down movement A LOT, and we could use the chopping to supplement our builds.
We have guilds now (back on Liberalism in 17 turns), which is good because we can build knights, who will absolutely kick ass. Speaking of which, I have not yet seen even 1 mounted unit from Izzy, which probably means she lacks horses.
But the real boon from guilds is Grocers. Stack em with markets and that's 50% more gold in each city. We should do that ASAP in our commerce cities.
War weariness is sucking, so I started up cathedrals in some cities. If we don't care, feel free to cancel them, although angry people hurt our economy. Either way, the war shouldn't be much longer with concentrated forces, although I don't know if the land north of Barcelona is continous, which might mean we need boats, which will mean a new city on that coast!
Izzy is up 3 techs on us. Divine, Optics... and something else...
I think it would be safe to say that I had no idea what the heck was going on most of the time
