You don't get credit for a captured wonder when you capture it. There is no 'GreatWonder_GoldenAgeKickoff?' coding check. But if you build a great wonder after you capture it, then it is part of the equation.

The Colossus is in Arbela, Persia.
The Great Lighthouse is in Seattle, along with Sun Tzu's Art of War. That would be a great twofer: Golden Age trigger and free barracks in all cities.
The shortest route to Seattle goies through New Orleans and Atlanta. Seattle is 1S-10SW of Dr. Carl Hill.
Would we go Wonder Hunting before or after we got Cavalry?

We are absurdly cash heavy. I establish some missing embassies with nearby AI civs.
I'm going to work on getting our troops upgraded. Better military rating can never hurt.
(IT) We get the typical whining about our troop locations. I expect to get this almost every round. There is still a lot of map to explore.

That is weird. Venezuela needs feudalism and engineering, but I found a musket protecting their city.

(IT) Babylon is building Copernicus’s Observatory. At least one civ has astronomy.

(IT) Our supply of ivory is gone.

I give Indonesia monarchy to get our ivory back. How they think they are our scientific equals is a big mysterty.

I hope with how much cash I spent on upgrades, and short rushes we are ready. I dial up Venezuela and declare war.
(IT) We only get two attacks vs. our knight that kills 1 AI unit, then the knight retreats

Our first offensive is lame as a healthy knights dies vs. MDI.

There are 14 units chasing our lone warrior near Russia. Hopefully I can keep that warrior alive a few more turns.

It cost some units, but another town is razed. 4 workers are found in the rubble.
I sign a RoP with Russia. The longer we can keep those 14 units chasing the warrior, the better.
(IT) Bleh, a horseman shows up and nails that warrior. They are several turns away, but a decent size stack will eventually show up.

I kill one musket in New Mat to try and get rid of that city by saltpeter. I found a second musket in the city. The knights will have to try again later.

Summary:
The red lines are our 2 troop stacks with limited bombard units. I've already secured saltpeter and another iron. I hope between both that hurts Venezuela ability to make units.
The purple city is the main goal I want from this war. I would really like to secure another luxury.
I'm not sure how far I want to push this war. America is the real threat, and the more we take from Venezuela the uglier our border gets with them.
I doubt Greebley will be upset to find we are at war.

Is this a Civ only box or just the only one where you have Civ installed?
Both, though it's not a question of anything exciting like a super-rig bought only for Civ.
I much prefer XP to any other version of Windows, so I've never completely retired my XP machine, but have gradually transferred its functions to newer devices over the years--emeritus status, you might say. So now it's effectively a Civ-only box.

Now we have to hope we start generating armies.
Do we need to be building so many musketmen, when they're terrible value for shields, and when we've already done a full upgrade of our pikemen? At a minimum, I wouldn't waste Brasilia's potential for three-turn knights on muskets.
Salvador is at size twelve with a full food box, and should build a settler now.
We can pick up a nice haul from Russia for Education before we hit Enter--45 gpt, 11 gold, and three workers.
The distribution of existing Wonders couldn't be worse, from the standpoint of captures that would help to trigger our GA. Every religious Wonder is in the Americas or Australia. The only semi-plausible capture/build scenario that I can see would require us to capture the Lighthouse in Seattle before we build Bach, and that imposes a very difficult deadline, since--this is just educated guesswork, of course--some civ will probably build Bach in about twenty-five turns. I'm also pessimistic about our building both necessary Wonders ourselves--we only have one palace pre-build. So I'd be pleased to hear alternatives, but trying to set off our GA before Replacement Parts and our UU looks to me like a good idea we can't actually implement.

It sounds unfortunate about the Wonders. We do have one more chance, if we miss Bach then someone nearby may build it. Not a common case but I may start a palace run. We will hopefully have the 2 army wonders (epic/leader++ one & pent) to fall back on; maybe even mil.Acad.

Yes, I see the logic of pre-building something in Brasilia, though we're likelier to default to Heroic Epic than to do anything exciting with the pre-build.

Probably fewer than ten for the whole game so far. We haven't generated many elites.
3 civs have both Astronomy and Chem, but none have just one. I was planning on waiting for a 2-fer unless someone feels we need to drive for Metallurgy.
I would normally likely just keep playing but since it is time to stop anyway - does anyone actually think we could get to Cavalry first (I am guessing the answer is everyone will want to wait)? That would be the only reason to not wait for a 2-fer.

With just 3 civs, the price will probably be a killer. I wouldn't jump unless we can get at least a 2 way deal for it.
I was keeping with the token research,as I didn't see a good deal.

Yes, definitely wait. There's rarely any reason to grab a onefer quickly.
I take it there's a typo here, but if you're talking about pointy-stick research, that's miserably disappointing in every era except the first. We could beat America to a pulp and only get a modest discount on one tech. It's one of the fundamental errors they never patched--the amount of tech (measured in beakers) that an AI civ will give up for peace doesn't scale as tech costs grow from one age to the next.

I thought you could still get the second age tech. I'll admit I haven't tested it recently, so maybe not. The timing is likely off too, we will want the Armies and Cavalry for America war which means waiting.

I have played 5 turns. I will keep this weekend as I think I can finish up.
The exciting news is that we are back to fighting America. Ven pulled them in about 2-3 turns in. I can make peace with Ven at a cost now but haven't yet.
Some elite victories but we remain leaderless. We are gaining more elites though.

Eventful times. It's a good thing that we can get peace with Venezuela when we need it. A 4-4 war (I mean knights or macemen attacking musketmen) against America isn't going to be a picnic, though.

We can settle forward very aggressively, as I did in founding Dr. Carl Hill, if the next thing we do is make peace with the enemy in question. So perhaps Greebley can just get a city down next to the wines and then end the war with Venezuela, though of course it all depends on the details of the position.
