It was an unearthy sound to be sure, so far outside of human experience that it wouldn't even be stuff of nightmares. A directionless dizzying whine like a kitten being pushed through a trombone, it seemed to come from somewhere inside Dis's head. He tried to shrug it off, knowing that it wasn't technically even a sound, instead the fluid of his inner ear resonating as waves of tortured space burst out from the roiling heart of the machine. The simulations and tests had indicated this would happen as the core underwent its bizarre vicissitudes as the Machine powered up, but he had never realised it would be so nausating. Indeed everyone but the essential crew had already fled the waterfront, several collapsing under the strain.
Many of the Council had questioned the wisdom of activating a device with no theortrical upper boundary of destructive effect, but a quick gassing of the Chamber and then shipping the unconcious leaders to the northern citadels had soon removed them from the command loop. The fools had failed to see what the Battle of Reigate had meant! Abbadons brigades of flaming queers had minced their way through stoutest defenses the Collective had managed to erect. While the lads had taken many of the foe down, the numbers lost had been irreplaceable considering how many men would be needed to defend london effectively from all the possible angles of assault. Abbadon would be able to reach the centre before we would be able to stop him. The only solution would be excise that cankerious city and its rainbow puss from these fair isles, no matter the cost. If some of the lands beyond the channel were burned by the strange fires that would be unleashed then what of it? They were only frenchmen.
The waters of the Thames were bubbling, as the sumps voided the waste coolant from the initators. As Dis left his command pedalo and descended into the tunnels on route to the secret control nexus he stole one look back at the Machine. Even the image of the device was distorted now, whether by violating his optic nerves or assualting the paths of the photons themselves.
It was time to show the invaders the bright lights of the big city...

Considering the fact there are about 100 people in the off-peak hours in the Flushing Library, there's a pretty slim chance that you'll remember us (In terms of the right person), if we were even there at all. Last time I went there was like May/June 2008.
The only distinguishing feature of me is that I'm an over 6 foot tall teen Asian, in a neighborhood of Asians. And SP lives in a totally different place, near the 51st or something street station.
