@ls612
Motorized Infantry
Notes: Remove this, I have a better idea for city defense plus we already have the Armored Car representing this type of unit.

The Motorized Infantry is mine. What's wrong with keeping it? I think it fills a historical gap between the Modern Infantry and the Mechanized Infantry. Besides, the whole point of Motorized Infantry is that the vehicles are NOT armored.

I love this line! I've been thinking of adding a second sub-combatclass for units, or the ability to assign flat out multiple combatclasses to units. Then we could add some more classes and interplay between them. For example, here we could make them 'Fire' combatclass in addition to their usual, to which some units may have extinguishing capabilities or 'fire resistance' giving them combat benefits vs Fire classes. We could have 'Shielded' class units, 'Polearm' units... the list could get extensive. This line certainly promotes the usefulness of that kind of thing so I figured I'd mention I was making plans for that down the road.

I am separating the ACP (Armored Personal Transports) from the Infantry. I have an idea for a unit that can be a city defender instead of that. I just need that removed first.

Looks nice. I don't think we need that many unitcombats to handle everything, the existing ones will work fine for everything but the space units, which will need new Unitcombats. That however is quite a ways off, as we don't even have the Multi-Map SDK done yet, although Koshling is working on it.

@MrAzure

I would rater not use the whole 2.0 or 3.0 stuff. Leave the naming and stats to me. I shall work it all out in time. I of course have any ideas already for the space stuff too.

Thats good..so ill come up with most of the path and unit art that should be used..and you come up with names and stats?

EDIT: I hold off one units that require new techs..

OK, that makes sense. Are you going to have a Truck unit? It would be fast and cheap but it couldn't fight very well. I'll remove the Motorized Infantry when I make my next SVN update. I am almost finished with the Congress of Vienna but that will take some work in the core to really put in. Fortunately, I already had the concept and ideas down. I just have to make the proper art - sometimes that is VERY difficult.

@Vokarya

Armored Vehicles will be under ACP stuff. Cars and trucks will go under recon. Infantry will be under its own stuff as it has been. After Modern Infantry I am thinking of having an "Urban Infantry" which would could city defense in the Modern era.

Keep up your Wonders. So far every one has been both unique and creative. They are great additions to C2C.! :goodjob:

I think the flamethrower idea needs work.
Really it would not do well in a forest because it is a forest, if anything it would do worse because you must be more cautious.
Is it possible to give it bonuses vrs forts and cities however?
A flamethrower is good for breaking morale and creating havoc for defenders, which is why they would shoot them towards firing ports, tunnels, into trenches, depending on the model as well, the heavy fuel arced down and could hit people hiding in the trench works easier then a bullet.
The other thing a flame thrower has is the intimidation factor, which I would see as a bonus vrs infantry in general. Also after the ancient one, I would say they should be classified as infantry and not siege weapons.

Well I based it off the original Flamethrower which had +25% Forest and Jungle Attack. I am guessing it was because you could burn down a jungle or forest fast and it would spread (more things to burn).

As for the siege weapon comment, there is no infantry class only gunpowder or say high tech. They really are their own type. I would not be opposed to a new "Fire" type class for the Arsonist and Flamethrower line.

I would put them under Gunpowder myself, they were usually deployed in squads with riflemen ect.
I would say that is the same reason why AT troopers go under gunpowder.

@Rasma: I think that the flamethrower is a siege unit, in that it is most often employed against an entrenched enemy to smoke them out (literally). The forests will burn well, and that is why it is +25% Forest Attack, on defense they need to be careful.

@Hydro: Do you mind if I add a version of MrAzure's anti-missile hovercraft? I think that they would occupy a nice little balance niche, and I like the whole concept.
