Thanks, I renamed your Ornithopter folders and it wasn't a red sphere anymore. Now though the ornithopter is too high up. Could you please move it down a bit? Thanks.
 
ah. makes sense. the animation portion of those dang things is a nightmarish headache from what I could tell from glancing over the tutorials on the matter.
 
hmm... if you can do that to the ornithopter, I wonder if you could get eagles and hawks to fly a bit higher.

Yeah Kael and his team of graphics experts couldn't even get it any better, even though they were the ones that made it. sorry.


On another note: Why is the Carib Blowgunner so close to the beginning of the tech tree, with str 3? You need Culture Carib to even build him, and that does even appear till after you get Boat Building about 20 - 30 techs later??

Well the Blowgunner is very much linked to poison darts. However the culture needs crab resource which is enabled at Boat Fishing. It gets tricky in the prehistoric ones.

Any suggestions?
 
I think that the Carib Blowgunner is fine for now where it is, for all intents and purposes it requires Poison Making AND Boat Making AND Hunting AND Carib, even though Boat Making isn't a direct prerequisite.
 
Yes. I would not mind taking out the Ambusher now that we have a real Blowgunner.

I would mind this considerably. The Ambusher is an integral part of simulating tribal warfare, in which you aren't directly attacking your enemy, but instead raiding and using hit-and-run attacks to cause problems. Please don't remove this.

I agree, we will NOT be removing the Ambusher, i was the one that put him in:p

I still do NOT like the Blowgunner so early, just doesnt make any sense at all when you cant even get Culture Crib till Boat Building, and without Carib you cant get the Blowgunner, again waaay over 20 techs later, which makes it obsolete at str 3, i say move it to Boat Building WITH Carib and str 5 and move the Spearman or other unit in that area to another tech, no need to do so, i am just thinking out loud.
 
Removing the Ambusher was pretty much the last thing I was getting at. Instead, I think a generic form of blowgunner should be used to update the ambusher. Currently, the Ambusher is basically a transparent archer. Not only should a blowgunner unit be transparentalized and used instead, we might want to tweak the ambusher a bit to reflect it being a blowgun style unit. This would primarily be to maintain a bit more era flavor.

Also please chnage the following ...

1. All Camel units should get Commando Promotion.

2. Pack Llama should require Llama Trainer instead of Llama Farm.

3. Have the Subdued Llama Upgrade into the Pack Llama and Llama Rider.

Also I think I asked this one before ...

4. Change Zebra Chariot to 100% vs Melee instead of Axeman.

5. Change Zebra Chariot to Upgrade to War Wagon instead of Mounted Infantry.

I'm not going to be doing the Llama changes until after V24 is released, as they seem far-reaching for a freeze change. All of the other changes are in now. Please don't ask for any new art until V24 is released, as SO needs to make a new set of FPKs before release.
