Update 14:
Year 1919
Europe:
CONTINUATION WAR ENDS!: London, England: With the mutual signing of the treaty. Germany gained the lands up to the Rhine, whilst in Italy the Peninsula fell back under Italian control and the Neapolitans retreated to a cozy home on Sicily. Gibraltar having been turned over, along with French island holdings in the Mediterranean being returned to their owners by Britain. The setting for the end of this war changes the face of Europe forever, will Napoleon be able to hold on to his empire?
GERMANY FORCEFULLY ANNEXES AUSTRIA: Vienna, Austria: The German nationalist movement, aiming to get all ethnic Germans under one empire, has gone to far according to most of Austria. Whom refused to join the Union when it formed and resisted the German troops whom in their mind invaded their country and annexed it illegally. The King of Austria remains king in his own lands but under the hand of the Kaiser. Germany now stretches from Jutland to the Adriatic.
CELEBRATIONS IN PARIS: Paris, France: The population and the emperor celebrate the end of the war and what they consider French victory with minor losses. Napoleon makes a radio address to the nation, saying the time of the British Empire is over and France once again is unbeatable.
FRENCH MILITARY UNVEILS NEW ARMORED MACHINE: Paris, France: The French military demonstrated knew, treaded armored vehicles. Carrying cannons and able to drive over trenches. Could this be the end of trench warfare?
MILITARY PARADES IN SPAIN: Madrid, Spain: With the end of the war and Spanish victory, including the annexation of Gibraltar, the Spanish support for the French is at an all time high. A complete opposite of the terrible war over a decade previous.
ELECTIONS IN ITALY: Naples, Italian Empire: As promised by the two alliances at wars end, an outside party, Russia, observed the elections on the unification of the two Italian states. By a slim margin, which may be falsified, the Italian unification process has begun. Bringing a new age of Italian nationalism to light. King Lucien remains a figurehead of the Neapolitan monarchy.
GERMAN-RUSSIAN INVASION OF SWEDEN: Stockholm, Sweden: A massive Russian and German invasion army have crossed the borders and made naval landings throughout Sweden. The war is blamed on the Swedish invasion of Norway and the status of her being a rogue state without purpose other than threatening peace. The Swedish military was easily defeated by the over six times larger invaders. As both nations occupy Sweden it is uncertain of her future.
CASUALTY LIST:
Sweden: Military Surrendered, Casualties (6 Divisions, 1 Artillery Brigade, 1 Battleship, 4 Escort Groups)
Germany: 1 Division
Russia: 4 Divisions
PROTESTS IN RUSSIA GROWING IN NUMBER: Moscow, Russian Empire: The Tsar’s invasion of former ally Sweden is but one of the reasons the growing number of protests and increasingly violent behavior are happening in the Russian streets. The turn over the Memel to the Germans, what many Russians saw as victory from the first world war and the alliance with them and Romania are all causes for protest.
GERMAN-ROMANIAN INVASION OF HUNGARY: Berlin, Germany: German and Romanian propaganda showed that Hungary was an anti-German state bent on genocide and destruction. The truth was totally different. As the armies of both sides marched into the Hungarian lands it was immediately shown that this would be no push over war. Mobilizing all the nation could at the time the Hungarians managed to completely stop the Romanian advance and setup a deterring trench line against both enemies. It is clear that the superior German military will break the lines in spring but until then diplomats have been sent to every major power in the world hoping to have aid come to Hungary.
CASUALTY LIST:
Germany: 2 Divisions
Romania: 2 Divisions
Hungary: 5 Divisions, 2 Militia Divisions
BULGARIA COLLAPSES UNDER ROMANIAN ADVANCE: Bucharest, Romania: Assisting the Hellenic Republic turned to be the greatest decision in modern Romania. The two armies easily defeated the remaining Bulgarians and talks over the borders began immediately. Rumors persist of preemptive alliance from years previous.
CASUALTY LIST:
Romania: 1 Division
Middle-East/Africa:
Americas:
DOMINION OF THE CARIBBEAN FORMED: Kingston, Caribbean: The British Empire, having gained island holdings from France in the treaty, has turned the Caribbean and South American holdings into a dominion. The new dominion was also gifted a navy and the task of defending the British interests in North America.
BRITAIN WITHDRAWS FROM WAR IN SOUTH AMERICA: London, Britain: Peace with France required the British to withdraw from the south American conflict. While the Platian’s could not as their troops were deep in the trenches. Resentment towards London over this decision fills the hearts of the soldiers fighting Brazil.
WAR IN SOUTH AMERICA: Bairdstown, Plate: With British troops and navy leaving the area and the French sending a large reinforcement army and navy, the Platian naval forces have been retreated to the Pacific. South Africa unable to fight on its own also withdraws its navy. Allowing the Brazilian and French fleets to raid shipping from both nations and the armies on land, now outnumbering the commonwealth, to make decisive victories pushing the front back to pre war borders. Soon followed by a short offensive down the coast. Brazilians are telling the Platian government to surrender now before it is destroyed.
CASUALTY LIST:
Brazil: 3 Divisions, 3 Militia Divisions, 1 Light Vessel Group
France: 1 Division
Plate: 6 Divisions, 1 Escort Group
South Africa: 1 Escort Group
AMERICA SIGNS PEACE WITH EAC: Washing, D.C, USA: America has withdrawn from the war with prewar borders and Asian claims on Primorsky dropped. Overall the American people are glad the war is over with little casualties.
Asia:
WAR DRAGS ON: Tokyo, Japan: Britain refuses war, even after losing India, and the large resource cow that it was. A few planned invasions in Indonesia went ahead, sending 300,000+ British troops into the fray with a large naval defense force. Chinese and Vietnamese forces were pushed back in Cambodia and Burma. While the Japanese held on to lands furiously. By the end of the campaign, not much was gained, but it did take pressure off the Australasian who shoved the Japanese army out of New Guinea. British naval dominance, a first for the war so far, made the Imperial Japanese Navy flee for cover, no match for the massive fleets sent against her. Giving supply routes a safe passage. Japanese subs still caused damaged to several ships.
CASUALTY LIST:
Britain: 18 Divisions, 2 Marine, 2 Mountain Divisions, 2 Battleships, 10 Escort Groups
Australasia: 4 Divisions, 1 Escort Group
Japan: 10 Divisions, 1 Marine Division, 1 Battleship, 6 Submarines
Vietnam: 8 Divisions
China: 9 Divisions
INDIAN INDEPENDENCE: New Delhi, Indian Subcontinental Union: Along with Afghanistan, Bhutan and Nepal the new Indian Union gained independence after a short but violent war of independence. Brief elections were held, with only certain groups even voting. Allowing the new Socialist government to take command. The first action of this new government was to seize the assets of the princes, which after many killings gave the new India a greater supply of wealth. Opposing groups still exist throughout India, none large enough to cause problems on their own.
