LuckNES2: The Fatal Balance

At one thirty in the morning the attack began. The cannons opened up from all directions in a massive thunderous bombardment. The heavy shots smashed into the walls blasting massive holes and craters. Powdered stone sprayed out from the impact covering the British defenders with a fine coat of dust. The smoke rose from the cannon and drifted away. Then a more terrifying sound began. The scream of the Mysorean war rockets, thousands of rockets streaked to the sky smashing into the positions of the defenders with massive explosions and great plumes of smoke. The steady bombardment continued.

Towards noon the Mysorean forces advanced in silence at a steady pace toward the British city of Bhubaneshwar . Stopping they opened fire in one concentrated volley that ripped through the British defender, the British retaliated and the battlefield was covered with smoke, gunshots and the screams of the dying. The hail of bullets cut down hundreds of soldiers, smoke from the gunss, cannons, rockets and fires obscured the battlefield in a smoky haze.

Tipu Sultan surveying the battlefield on horseback ordered the conscripts forward. The mass of soldiers charged toward British lines screaming, the first line impacted and the fierce and desperate hand-to-hand fighting began.
The better trained and armed British regulars inflicted horrendous casualties on the conscripts driving them back with bayonet and rifles. The conscripts began falling back. Tipu Sultan rode his horse forward shouting threats and encouragements urging his soldiers on and throwing fresh waves at British lines. Wave after waves of conscripts crashed into British lines as waves breaking against the shore.

The British lines began buckling under the pressure falling back under the press of Mysorean soldiers.
Tipu Sultan ordered the Mysorean regulars forward. The British line shattered under the last offensive. Mysorean rifle fire tore through British ranks. Tipu Sultan charged forward with his cavalry hacking through British soldiers. The mobile Mysorean cavalry rode through the British defenders trampling the first line. Waving his bloody sword Tipu Sultan shouted to his cannoneers and cushoons to open fire.

With thunderous booms the cannons opened up smashing into the walls of the city. One section of the wall collapsed under concentrate fire. Elsewhere a lucky cannon shot blasted the wooden gate apart peppering the nearby troops with wooden splinters. The rockets screamed overhead lighting up the sky with great flashed and shrieks. The cushoon commanders pushed their rocket carts foward increasing the range of the rockets which fell deeper and deeper into British lines, the sharpnel rockets exploded spraying jagged pieces of metal into British flesh.

The Mysorean forces surged forward forcing their way through the destroyed gateway. The British soldiers on the walls were rapidly picked off. Others fled into the city but were rapidly hunted down by the rebel forces from within.
The British defenses collapsed as the few survivors surrendered and were captured.

Tipu Sultan rode through the shattered gates triumphantly at the head of his army. The last pockets of British resistance had been crushed and the city secured. The Mysorean Army marched down the city streets flanked by the rebel forces at their sides and Tipu Sultan at the head. The Indian people lined the streets watching the mighty army, they cheered at their liberation from the hands of the British. Women wept with joy and men offered to join the Mysoreans offering their services.

Mysore was victorious.

To Britian and East India Company
From the Empire of Greater Mysore

Very well then your fate is sealed. There shall be no peace as long as there is a single piece of British land in India and a single British soldier yet lives. The people of India have expressed their desire to be free of British rule and we shall not rest till their aspiration is met. Your demands are outraegous and far above your capacity. Britian has no more than 5 divisions remaning in India, the mighty armies of the Sikhs, Afghans, and Mysore close in, the Indian people rise up in reveloution, the Sepoys Mutuiny, the Great Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II has thrown off the shackles of his bondage and rise up as well. Together we shall destroy you absoloutley. You shall regret the day you turned this peace down.

Thanks for the stats Moose. :)

Could you please correct the spelling of my president's name? It should be Karl Johan, not Jahon.

OOC: Damnit j_eps, it's been three days. Answer the PM already, I want to send orders.
