Mac Leopard crash problem

I have recently upgraded my Mac OS from Tiger to Leopard and find that I can no longer select a civilisation or playing level. When I hit the button to go to that page the programme crashes back to my desktop. I can play quick starts (always the Romans and always chieftain level) without any problems.

Any ideas anyone?

Which version of Civ3 are you playing, and what Mac hardware are you running it on?

Mac Book pro. Didn't know there were different versions of Civ iii. How do I find out?

If the software was supplied by MacSoft then it's the old vanilla version. It was developed before there was such a thing as an Intel powered Mac, and isn't supported these days. I believe it doesn't run in Leopard on an Intel CPU, so if you are getting it to play at all you are doing well.

If the software was supplied by Aspyr then it should run. If you haven't already done so, you should upgrade it to Rev A using the updater here

I patched my MacSoft version with the 1.21g patch from their website www.macsoftgames.com - this fixed the problem for me using Leopard.
