I thought you all might want to know, SGOTM5 is having sign ups right now...its vanilla only, game starts July 19th, and there's been one mac signup so far. If you are still interested in doing a Mac team for SGOTMs, this'll be an interesting one.

Okay, not really. I'm just not interested in firing that version up anymore. I get confused too easily as it is. But, that is a sweet set up.
Thanks for letting us know, some of the MacLords may move the team into that competition. Hopefully we can get the MacLords into the next SGOTM for Warlords.
yes, I feel vanilla is missing something myself, now that I've played warlords so much, but I figured I'd let you guys know, since I knew you guys were 'training' for SGOTMs
I'm still on the fence about doing the SGOTM. It does sound interesting, but I'm not into vanilla that much. I might do it anyway, though. Thanks for the heads up, Thrallia. I like your stupid quotes.
* Mao has 7 cities; will give Divie Right, wm, 540 & 6 gpt for peace; I will continue to wage war w/ Mao and raze every city I capture (using pillage income to fuel research).
* After we reach Democracy, I suggest we queue toward Fascism & Industrialism; we are several techs behind Elizabeth & Gandhi, a couple of which are worthy.
* We still have CB w/ Elizabeth. Any reason why we should not sign an OB agreement w/ her?
* A trade is possible w/ Augustus for Corporation (+210 & wm), costing us Printing Press & Chemistry.
* City production queues are going to mirror current builds. I will look for immediate needs where a city can take advantage of a specific facility.
Sounds good. The way we're going, Mt Rushmore will be useful, and as you say much between here and there. I can't think of any reason not to OB with Elizabeth; probably should have been done a long time ago.
That's probably a good trade with Augustus... Elizabeth is pleased with him, and may give him what he needs anyway, if he comes up with the right trade for her.
Enjoy...
P.S. Thrallia: Thanks for the tip.... Think I'll wait for Warlords as well. Last time I played Vanilla I stared at the screen for ten minutes wondering what resource I was missing which prevented me building trebs.... Don't think I want to deal with that again.

Well heck, I forgot to mention three important things:
(1) We still have a Great Engineer in Istanbul, didn't want to use him afterall to rush the Palace.
(2) Palace is being built by hand in Istanbul, about 12-14 turns remaining.
(3) I began the Forbidden Palace in St. Petersburg. I feel it's a good central location among our original core of cities. And, it will help ease the shock of our capital moving from that region.
* We could use the GE to rush the Statue of Liberty for a free specialist in every city. ???
I'mat the beach without a civ-capable computer until Saturday evening. If you want to wait past the window for a "got it," I'll play then; otherwise you should give me a pass.
Good work on the war, dojoboy. With us behind in tech to our allies, we seem committed to the war course; steel might be a good short-term boost in preparation for stabbing Liz in the back.

Unless Welnic appears and takes it, waiting until Saturday is fine w/ me. Our team is in a bit of a slump atm, in regards to churning turns. RL is a . .. .. .. .. .!
I suppose my ten turns will be devoted to finding and destroying Mao's remaining cities, right? I will also begin positioning some troops for an attack on Elizabeth. I will research steel, unless anyone objects.
I'll try to play some time tomorrow so we can get things moving.
