Mad Scientists Nest generation RPC Summary/Bullpen

I've got it: ATLANTIS! Play a solo game. No AIs, just you, on a small (3-5 city) island until, say, 2000 B.C. Then, at that point, Atlantis rises from the depths! Using the Worldbuilder, recreate your island, and your Civilization, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on Earth18. If it won't fit, maybe replace Australia, and get rid of the island-hopping Coasts around it. It'll be 4000 B.C. again, and you'll be alone, unable to contact anyone until Optics, and trapped in a small space, but you'll have a 2000 year head start! Might be too easy, but it seems like it could be a lot of fun.

There was an Atlantis single city challenge someone posted earlier that added Atlantis to the Atlantic ocean that would work. It was a stacked island so it might be a bit too much but it can fit.

That was one reason I have not played it, there was that good single city game going around. Also there was an open RPC Atlantis Challenge which I still may play out myself as I have forgotten a decent enough amount about.

I do have a pair of earth map games planned. One involves Australia and I already have the King of World's blessing on.

The other he has no knowledge about but I doubt he would mind!

I'd like to see an Attila the Hun game. Either the Barbarian scenario (Which I've never seen properly done) or something like, never advance beyond the Medieval era. It'd be tough, but, with proper blitzkrieg tactics, I think it'd be doable. *shrug* Just an idea.

He'd be too busy making eyes at Hatty to notice.

Australia would be cool to see, the poor hidden forgotten continent on Earth 18. :goodjob:

Atilla just may be one the list, but not the short one. As you said either the Barbarian scenario or on the Pangea Map playing Boudica's traits using Mongolia. However, given the recent Monty romp and the current inevitable Holy Wars I do not expect another bloodfest anytime too soon.

A little pre-game thread talk for the next RPC.

Looking to play as Satan himself who muct depopulate the entire world and collect souls by the end. I envision a mandatory Conquest game while slave whipping my own population to 1 per city by the end of the game.

Comemnts/suggestions???

I am thinking of Using Boudica of Rome here. Restrict civics to those "Applicable" to the lord of the underworld.

Never adopt any religion, of course. Make it a high priority to destroy holy cities first? Dedicate diplomacy to getting AIs to fight each other?

I agree although not adopting religions? Come now, what about Satanic cults!

Ouch. And you thought the M game was gonna stir up conroversy.... ;)

Might I suggest a focus on civilian casualties? Settlers, Workers, Missionaries? And defying lots of AP votes so that the world will consider you a villain?

How about playing with the option that forces you to kill every single unit before the civilization is dead? You know, just to add to the death rate

Pick a religion as THE satanic religion and set it that you can only adopt that religion as your state religion. Or you could just say that the first religion you found is the satanic religion and must be adopted as the one true faith. (of Satan)

In addition to religious fervor, make it your goal to be absolutely hated by everyone, through the AP (as said), through denying every request and threat, through war declarations, through embargoes etc.

Satan would go for an AP victory for the irony. "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled is convincing the world he didn't exist"

The game should probably be winnebol to being at -20 unhappines from defying everything and fighting everyone since they all hate you probably isnt the best idea if you want to have any chance to win.

How about a RPC with Japan as a marster deciever/spy economy and warmonger

No open borders.

emphasing own religion and war.

OR a Scenario with random leaders and only the Japanise Civ: "Feuderal Japan" style?

Williamsville?

A little pregame for the next RPC-TNG.

Looking to play the Dali Lama as a one city challenge on the erath 18 map. I adjusted the map of tibet a bit by

changing all the hills to grassland hills
adding 1 sheep, 1 wheat, and 1 stone
Limiting access to Tibet to one forrested hill
There is NO copper, horse, iron, oil, aluminum, coal, uranium in the Dali Lama's area.

I was planning to play as Sitting Bull as Philosophical is good for a OCC and we certainly could use Sitting Bull's protective trait and UU/UB.

RPC angle would be playing as a complete pacifist and defense limited to ONE forrested hilled tile (an honorary warrior guard is permitted in the capital.

Finally, I think the Dali Lama should have the Spiritual trait (but I prefer NOT to use it) thus I plan to World Build the Christo Redentor into the city as soon as I start!

What do you all think?

At some point, I wouldn't mind seeing a historical reenactment:

Judas Maccabeus
(Brennus of the Celts for Spiritual, Charismatic, and Guerrilla Warfare)

Must found Judaism.
Must construct Temple of Solomon.
Must run Theocracy.

Arid Map

Opponents:
Alexander of Greece (must be eliminated)
Rome
Persia
Any others that seem appropriate to a Holy Land setting. :)
