Mad Scientist's RPC summary

how about Willem for his rexing and getting in the way of Hatty's cities in the current RPC?

Yes, I think Willem will be there. Especially for being the main Rival in the Mao II game.

%$^# How do you have so much time to write stories of all your games!? I never even played so many games in my entire Civ History, let alone write stories about them...and I win on Monarch Difficulty. Good job!

what about your secondlast game (not sure who's thats going to be) ... you tack on Unrestricted Leaders :p

I've just thought of another one. God (represented by Sid in your game) for Zara's Divine intervention RPC.

I am not all that much of a fan of random persoanlities. I like the Ais the way they are, old friends (or enemies).

And no I am not adding Sid!

not random personalities ... random leaders in charge of random countries :p unrestricted leaders :p

Boudicca of Rome for example

I have followed all of your RPCs, enjoyed them a lot and am looking forward to the Mighty Khans "bastard son". Thanks for your time and for sharing your sense of humour!

Now as this grand and truly "fun and educational" series seems to come to an end, suggestions about its prolonging have to come up (I know, I know, all things must come to an end.):

How about making a poll on the lost games and replaying one of the losses (perhaps as an open RPC)?

I'd throw in my vote for Gandhi the War-Monger! ;)

Actually I plan to still share "Mad's World" with these forums, however not as this type of series where I play out games for the leaders. They have all been done already (well, Kublai still has to be played).

If you see the first entry in this thread, there is an open challenge for Ghengis linked near the bottom. I already have a few setup and ready to post, and I am looking to enjoy everyone else playing! If it's successful, perhaps that can turn into a 52 leader campaign, perhaps not, we shall see. At least until Civilization V comes out (if it does ) and I can start this insanity again.

I have also modded a bit on traits, altering the existing ones and adding 2 new ones. I want some time to play with those. Perhaps I will download the mod (how can I do that folks) and perhaps play out some "Alternative" history RPCs.

Nothing as structured as this series. I am pretty organized and focused at things I do, as you can tell since I actually managed to play every damned leader in an RPC over the near 2 years since BTS came out!

PS:

You inadvertantly named the title of the Kublai game, congrats!

Thanks for the RPC's Mad. They were entertaining and instructive, helping me to improve my game significantly. I am looking forward to seeing whatever comes from you in the future.

You are most welcome. The series was great to do and I am very happy to have such a large following!

You can expect something from me in a few weeks, at least an open challenge!

And of course I will be prowling the forums more often. Similar to Sis I never had all that much time to do it.

I congratulate you, Mad, for adding a great.... um.... addition to the forums.

Who are we to turn to now? Sis has stopped, Mad has stopped.... What to do, what to do... How about we actually play Civ now??

Why, that is exactly what I plan to do tonight! I have my mod to test out, and perhaps I may now change my speed to epic! Marathon games were great for the enjoyment but now I get the feeling I don't want to play teh same game for 3-4 days in a row anymore. Yes, my off-line games I always play to the bitter end!

There are many entertaining games out there (I plan to shadow a few now!) and the ALCs are being continued by Lord P.

NOW you switch to Epic. No, no no NOOO!

Hey, Mad, I just checked Battle of the Philosophers, and noticed there was no 4000 BC save... So how did TMiT play it out? Can you please give a 4k BC save, or instruct me how to make one? Because it seems a really good map for a Monarch just powned on Emperor.

I had to delete alot of saved files because of those massive Khan saves. I have the Suliman start saved on my computer at home and will post it tonight.

I think perhaps I should do what Sis did and link all the starts for the RPCs in the first page, then clear out the individual saves except the most recent.

I have every saved game from every RPC I played so if anyone ever wants to see one that's been removed just let me know.

Another thing you can do is take all saves from each RPC, compress each in a .rar or .zip (so you have themightykhan.zip, queenofthesea.zip, arealgentleman.zip (...) , allgoodthings.zip), and put these rars or zips up on filefront.

The question, is how do I do that. remember my computers skills are more limited than most here!

First, you need to download 7zip, a program that can make or unpack rar and zip files. After you install it, when you select a file on your computer and click on it with your right mouse button, there is an option "7-zip". Clicking on this opens a submenu, from which you should select "Add to archive "{file name here}.7z"". Now, the file is copied and turned into a .7z file (the original file remains as it was).

By selecting all files from a certain RPC ("The Mighty Khan", for example), and then right-clickingh on any of them, you can turn them all into this single .7z file.

Now, you go to Filefront, where you'll need to make an account (It doesn't cost any money or something). When you've made your account, there's an "Add file" button to the left of the page. Here, you can upload your file. Afterwards, you'll get a link, which will be the location of the file.

OK, I will give it a try! At the least I should be able to zip the starts, but if I can do all the saves for free (sound similar to photobucket) I may go that route. Thanks!
