At least you got one BNW civ on your continent (Morocco).

It would be interesting to see what if Assyria, Zulu, and Indonesia were all on the other continent.

I am already enjoying this game! 3! Natural wonders within reach. This would have been a lovely Spain game.
Go take out Morocco now! Those bums settled right on you, make them pay! :D

Why did you choose that spot for Vijayanagara?
Isn't the spot SW-W strictly better? You'd have to buy one tile to get the natural wonder immediately, but in exchange you'd get access to one fish and one deer that your capital can't reach.

guess i d have settled just the diamonds to have deer in range - a fish in 3 tile range as only water resource isnt really that important - hardly worth the hammers of lh and fb

Also I dont see the point of stonehenge at all when going piety + having 2 nw with faith boosts - looks like this game will have like +100 faith soon early anyway - the +5 from henge wont break anything - I d have teched to masonary straight meanwhile 1 settler and with masonary and with marble boost a fast pyras - like this all land d be worked in no time and faith flows in with 4 cities piety and nw faith HUGE anyway - but oh well ...

I played this and didn't even come close to getting the tourism needed to win a culture victory (a lousy 350 tourism per turn after internet)

yeah, I should have settled in that spot for the long game, but I didn't want to pay for a 2nd natural wonder tile. Food is scarce near that city, so I'll have to feed it via trade route for some time.

more faith is better faith though. With all the faith, converting non-religion founder civs to my religion faster = more gold (Tithe) earlier in the game and the potential to get the World Religion proposal through earlier as well (before CSs add to the delegate count). Plus, storing faith for late game great people is a good thing - the more you can store, the faster the game goes (plus extra GEs for the wonders).

I've been watching your let's play series MadDjinn and i'm very impressed with your civ5 skills mate! Great vids to watch and learn :) Keep up the good work!

Maddjinn... one warning with the Aqueducts. People have reported a bug where taking the "Free" Aqueducts from Tradition finisher on cities that had hard built aqueducts gave a non-functioning "Free" aqueduct. [workaround solution is to sell any hard built aqueducts before the Tradition finisher completes]

Glad the next ones are out! Thanks for the explanation of India's UA mechanics. I did not truly understand it before.

Spoiler :
Can't believe you got 2 natural wonders before AI settled them. Also can't believe the CS borders didn't naturally take one from you. It seems natural border expansion does not favor natural wonders.

When you were playing "corral the settler" I kept hoping you'd build the settler for that 4th city. Especially since you kept mentioning you wanted the 4 free opera houses earlier. If you'd don it soon enough you could have built the monument then bought the amphitheater instead of buying the cargo ship and just hard built the cargo ship. Oh well, now whatever 4th city you do build, if you build one, will get a free monument.

Really nice LP! Noobs as me leans so much from it :D

I got one question though: Why are u focussing so much on faith? You are going for culture - Shouldn't you just get as much culture as possible from the start and be as peaceful as possible?

Faith can be used to buy Great People after the Industrial Era. So the more faith you have, the more Great People you can buy.

The costs for the faith buying also scale fast. It starts at 1000 faith, then 1500 faith, then scales up in a Fibonacci sequence (1000, 1500, 2500, 4000, etc).

Since your southern city hasn't even finished the constabulary, you don't need the police station in the capital yet. So, why don't you build the EIC in the capital before the police station? That's more money from the incoming trade routes and might encourage more folks to send trade routes to your capital, thus helping spread your religion more.
