Mafia/NOTW Statistics

Oh. My bad. I guess I just forgot about that. I'll post that later today when I'm on my computer.

Both Good and Spaceballs were town. Good completed both parts I their VC, while Spaceballs only got half. Count that how you will for the Spaceballs, either a draw or win. Good got a win though.

For everyone who doesn't know, the VC was something like "You win when all threats to the town are eliminated and your faction (Good/Spaceballs) has a majority remaining.

I'll post who was in what faction later like I said when I have access to a computer.

There was a split town a while back in a game Jarrema hosted, but those two seperate towns had to actually kill each other. They both lost anyway, though.

This seems closer to the split town in Autolycus NOTW, Only The Strong, in which I counted both innocent teams as winning. I'd still like you to post all of the role PM's so I know who everyone is, though. :p It looks to me like there are 8 goods, 8 spaceballs, 1 neutral (topsecret) and 3 mafia (Pizza, Jarrema, Terran Emperor), but I'm not sure about that.

Sorry chox. 7 hours of working out a day really cramps my schedule.

Ok, I don't have the actual Role PMs anymore (I deleted them before I realized I hadn't posted them anywhere), but I do have the roles stored. Here they are:

Good
cardith lorda-Lone Starr-Alignment Scanner (Good, Spaceball, Mafia)
Kennigit-Barf-Hider
BSmith1068-King Roland-Doctor
classical_hero-Dot Matrix-Jailer
mechaerik-Minister-Roleblocker
choxorn-Yogurt-Rolecop
SamSniped-Prince Valium-Don't-Really-have-A-Name-For-This-Role-But-All-Scans-Were-Useless-Against-Him
JoanK-The Dinks-Double Voter

Spaceballs
sirtommygun-President Skroob-One Shot Governor
MartinLuther-Dark Helmet-Vigilante
NinjaCow64-Colonel Sandurz-Tracker
Zack-Major A$$hole-Mason
spaceman98-Phillip A$$hole-Mason
Optical-Radio Operator-Watcher
Darth Feather-Black Spaceball In Desert Scene-Random Scanner (Much like a role in D&D mafia, except he always got wrong results)
Mat93-Snotty-Bus Driver

Mafia
Jarrema-George Lucas-Star Wars Scan (Got Star Wars equivalent of character if there was one)
ATPG-Gene Roddenberry-Roleblocker
Terran Emperor-Mel Brooks-Godfather (No Reveal Upon Death, Alignment against all scans is good)

Neutral
topsecret-Pizza the Hutt-Hostage Taker (Took someone's night action hostage; he PM'd me the name of player A and said that he would target player B, even though player A may have targeted player C)

That should be it. You can count the Spaceballs as either a draw or win. The Good team got a win, and topsecret also won, as he survived and targeted a member of all three other factions. Mafia got a loss obviously.

Like I said before, given the setup, a Win makes more sense than anything else.

And one replacement (Kennigit replaced robbiecon)

To be more exact on the stats:

Town: 17 (cardith lorda, Kennigit, robbiecon, BSmith1068, classical hero, mechaerik, choxorn, SamSniped, JoanK, sirtommygunn, MartinLuther, NinjaCow64, Zack, spaceman98, Optical, Darth Feather, Mat93)

Neutral: 1 (topsecret)

Mafia: 3 (Jarrema, Askthepizzaguy, Terran Emperor)

Won: 17 (cardith lorda, Kennigit, BSmith1068, classical hero, mechaerik, choxorn, SamSniped, JoanK, sirtommygunn, MartinLuther, NinjaCow64, Zack, spaceman98, Optical, Darth Feather, Mat93, topsecret)

Lost: 3 (Jarrema, Askthepizzaguy, Terran Emperor)

Replaced: 1 (robbiecon)

Survived: 6 (JoanK, topsecret, NinjaCow64, choxorn, BSmith1068, cardith lorda)

Finally now up to the end of 2012.

What a year:

23 Town Victories
12 Mafia Victories
3 Neutral Victories

38 games is probably the most in any year, even if I still had the pre-purge threads it would probably be the most.

The Town won way more often last year- It has 50 victories total right now and 23 came last year. Between the purge and the end of 2011, the mafia has 43 victories to the town's 27. Ignoring neutral victories and draws, that means the mafia won 61.4% of the time in that period, while the town won 65.7% of the time in 2012.

I can't really get a good read on 2013 yet, as there are only 6 games. Thus far, as far as I can tell, there are 4 town victories and 2 mafia victories.

Looking back, this was actually not correct- from the purge to the end of 2011, The mafia actually won 42, and the town 28 (winning percentage: exactly 60%). I tried using the totals, which were apparently incorrect, and are now fixed.

The 2012 stats are correct though, althoughthe 2013 stats were before I discounted Holy Crusade and before Ashes to Ashes finished, so the actual 2013 stats are 3 town victories, 3 mafia victories.

Ashes to Ashes:

Town: 3 (Darth Feather, SouthernKing, spaceman98)

Mafia: 2 (Jarrema, Buddhafish)

Won: 2 (Jarrema, Buddhafish)

Lost: 3 (Darth Feather, SouthernKing, spaceman98)

Survived: 3 (Jarrema, Buddhafish, Darth Feather)

And... I'm finally caught up again. SouthernKing's game, of course, doesn't count because it had 4 townies and 6 scums.

Are you trying to buy some deathsticks?

You don't want to sell me deathsticks.

I don't wanna sell you deathsticks.

You want to go home and rethink your life.

I am gonna go home and rethink my life.

<logs off>

You want to leave your deathsticks with me.

The Court:

Won: 2 (Jarrema, JoanK)

Lost: 7 (Darth Feather, Autolycus, spaceman98, MartinLuther, Buddhafish, choxorn, Nintz)

Town: 8 (Darth Feather, Autolycus, spaceman98, MartinLuther, Buddhafish, choxorn, Nintz, SouthernKing)

Mafia: 2 (Jarrema, JoanK)

Survived: 3 (Darth Feather, JoanK, Autolycus)

Replaced: 1 (SouthernKing)

Alternatively, I could pretend Autolycus replacing SouthernKing never happened due to how late it was. :p

Alternatively, I could pretend Autolycus replacing SouthernKing never happened due to how late it was.

Yeah, let's do that, and I won't bother you about including the SK's Experiment in the stats :p

So, uh, anyone who isn't directly affected by this (that is, not SouthernKing or Autolycus) want to weigh in on what I should count SK/Auto as?

you can pretend it never happened.
But it would make a precedent, so you will need rules saying when replacements count, and when they do not.
