Main Download Information

I found out if you hover over you Civ's Flag (Next to the mini-map) it shows the current versions of CIV and the Mod you're running!

Nice found, I completely forgot about it :)

Turns out I was running a pre-AND build - got 1.75C up and running - loving the changes - Will have a look at the SVN version although it looks like it's in a constant state of flux? I'm pretty casual about having everything up to date so I might just wait for a stable build release.

Actually, although SVN is in constant development, this doesn't usually spoil a game as you can update the mod without having to restart a game from the beginning. Using MaxCompatibleSave (which is default ON in AND2), you can load your savegame even when there have been changes to the dll or xml files.
The latest SVN build should be stable more or less like 1.75C, but turns are faster and multiplayer OOS problems have been addressed.

Big up's to all of you's for RoM, stellar work :D

Thank you, but main people to thank are Zappara and Afforess, although they seldom visit the forum (Zappara has left the forum 2 years ago, I think). :)

No the SVN really isn't in a state of constant flux. It's a better and easier alternative for putting out patches for the AND team.

Each version we are still working out some bugs, but overall AND2.0 SVN version 606 is a very playable and imo stable version.

AND 1.75 and the 1.75C Patch were Afforess' last Official version.

1.76 and the betas for it was the last work the Afforess did on the mod. With his permission control of the Mod was 1st given to jtanner28 who started AND2.0betas. After jt left, Afforess granted 45*38'N full control of the SVN source code. 45* asked me to help and together the SVN versions have went from 586 to 606. 45* has fixed multiple bugs and worked on balance. And I've made some refinements to tile improvements and building upgrade paths.

As I said there are still several known bugs we are working on. One of which is a random CTD when using the Barbarian World option.

Anyway thanks for the "ups"! :D

Edit: :ninja: 'd by 45* :lol:

Im playing the SVN version and if I found bugs, or stuff that needs to be fixed, how and where do I report them? For example I noticed Polarbears in the arabian desert, which kinda seems out of place. Since Polarbears are very strong(STR 4) I lost my very experienced warrior that had already traveled the world battling countless animals, however against a Polarbear a warrior is just to weak, even with countless promotions

This thread is for AND2.0 SVN bugs and such.

As for the Polar bear and your warrior, if you had the warrior in the desert with no tile defense you better have some desert defense promotions or your warrior is toast. Doesn't matter how much Combat promos he had. If he did Not attack then he needed defensive promos. If he attacked the polar bear with Attack promos he would probably be still around.

Polar bear at str 4 has been in the game for ages. Cave bears can have str 5. You just got caught with your pants down, hopefully you learned from it. ;)

ok great, I'll post here then :) Thank you for your answer, though I wasnt actually on a desert tile(I was on a forest plain hill just west/north of what is probably modern day northern Iraq, wasn't expecting a polarbear there lol:crazyeye:), which was actually just the thing I thought should be fixed). So I moved onto the forest/hill and unfortunately the polarbear was in the desert just east of that hill. With my warrior 2STR having +50% combat +50% from terrain giving a final STR of 4 so it was 50/50, and unfortunately the polarbear won.

I noticed I am having access to cotton even when I haven't even build a plantation on the cotton spot, and I haven't researched Calendar yet. However I got access to it the moment I researched Weaving, and that kinda makes sense?

You probably have a city built on top of a cotton resource.

You were right, one of my other cities(that I conquered) is built on top of a cotton. I didn't notice since I didn't build the city my self.

Is this intentional, that to get very early access to cotton you build a city on top of it and then discover weaving?

It's always been like that; when you build a city on top of a resource you get access to that resource but you don't get the benefits of a plantation/camp/mine/etc (commerce, hammers, food, etc)

oh that's embarrasing :blush:

So I am playing as Romans and I just build my first Pretorian unit which has the Loyal promotion that says it "never reveals nationality". I searched for this but only found something about that it incurs a little less diplomatic penalty upon capture. However I don't understand how this works? When do the Pretorian unit attack without an enemy knows what civ it comes from?

Preaetorians shouldn't have this promotion, or at least it's totally useless for them as it's meant to be a spy promotion. Did you give this promotion yourself or was it granted for free?

It automatically comes with all new Pretorian units. Its only Pretorians that get this, none of my other units(so far) gets the Loyal promo.

EDIT: I just checked the ...2K Games\Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond The Sword\Mods\Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn\Assets\XML\Units\CIV4UnitInfos.xml for the promo section for Praetorian. It seems the Loayl promo is there?:
Code:
                         <FreePromotions>
				<FreePromotion>
					<PromotionType>PROMOTION_TACTICS</PromotionType>
					<bFreePromotion>1</bFreePromotion>

					<PromotionType>PROMOTION_LOYALTY</PromotionType>
					<bFreePromotion>1</bFreePromotion>
				</FreePromotion>
				<FreePromotion>
					<PromotionType>PROMOTION_MARCH</PromotionType>
					<bFreePromotion>1</bFreePromotion>
				</FreePromotion>
			</FreePromotions>

Then it's not a bug! It's LOYALTY promotion, not LOYAL promotion: they're 2 different promotions! Loyal is a spy promotion, while Loyalty is the one your pretorians are getting (which means garrisoned cities 100% less likely to revolt). Check Sevopedia about it (under "promotions").

Okay I see, but look at this screenshot, when I hover cursor over the promotion icon in the Praetorians info box the tool-tip clearly states "Loyal Never reveals Nationality" ?:confused:

Mmmm... looks like there's a mess in some xml definition; I'll have a deeper look at this. Thank you for reporting this. :)
