Many Leaders Game

Thanks Kanga_DU. Number of cities changed.

Fbelintani, are you going to run specialists when your first cities settle down?

Overall as I see it;

Hannibal playing G-lighthouse and ToA is the only leader to match commerce per turn of our other(edit)financial leader Vicky.

However, Alexander and Mehemed are leading the technology charge.

Alexander has announced plans to wipe Shaka off the map, and Brennus is on the road to doing that making use of the UU.
Alex also seems to be spreading south.

Religious situation is too complex for me to work out, but Vicky,Hannibal,Brennus and Alex have founded religions. One shrine in , Brennus ! yeah.

Augustus is sacrificing tech speed for producton it seems, and the writing is on the wall for the neighboring civs.

No obvious signs of aggresson from Mehemed, heading for G-library . Alex will build the G- library too. Hannibal is eyeing up barb cities to the south with his axemen, not other civs yet it seems.

It looks like Ghandi is pushing Napoleon around.

City sites;
Pigswill settled the sugar bananas in the north, and it will be a great coast production city I think.I took this area off Shaka but it's not as well situated.

Two leaders put their horse site on the coast, again great coast production.

The Elephant pigs gold area has been settled with 1 city in some cases and 2 in others. Again I took mine off of Shaka and again it's not so well situated.

Rome is the hell military pump, with Augustus spreading to the south, and the horse river site being divided between two cities,one coastal.

Dont worry, I won't write such critiques for each turnset. I've just got a lot of time on my hands ATM.

Mice: re MC slingshot for Colossus. I've really gotten out of the habit of building early wonders. Also with a continental type landmass I'm not going to have many coastal cities. I might build a temple on London to rush a Prophet for Kong Miao but overall I expect I'll be looking at pointy stick expansion next set.

I didn't have time to "plan" this last round. I just thought I'd never make the 'mids in time, as Nappy had stone hooked up... I didn't have too many woods to chop too, besides that on Sparta I used for the Oracle.
I'm thinking of running specialist in Athens, for now. I'll try to make more use of Alex's other trait: AGGRESSIVE! ;)
I think I whipped too much. My cities are too small compared to others'.
But don't worry. This is the time I begin to screw my game...

Spoiler :

Consolidation and land grabbing to the south. Definately keeping Kassite, its just perfectly placed, Two grassland coppers, gold, cows and two floodplains. Noticed that Oracle hasn't yet gone, so I'm swapping research to Priest > Arch > HBR (need archery for UU). Worst case I'll get some gold for deficit research, best case I'll snag Metal Casting (and go for the Colossus).

I'll need to keep an eye on the power graph - I'm not lagging too far yet. I don't trust Nappy or Shakka though. I need workers, building and troops, so I'm going to play it thin on the troops... :eek:

No-one else has Alphabet yet, I'll snag it shortly and see about trades. I never seem to have much joy with Nappy and Shakka though, which is annoying and they both don't like Gandhi for now (Shakka is Jewish, Nappy just ill tempered). So I'm avoiding trades with Gandhi (not even OB) so I don't rack up diplomatic penalties with the aggressives. Apart from the fact Gandi's done a flyer, and is out in the lead. Maybe a war bride is an option.

@Kanga_DU

I already see a huge difference in researching between our 2 games.
Confucianism : Hannibal -> 75 BC Augustus -> 175 AD
Taoism : Hannibal -> 250 AD Augustus -> 500 AD
Christianity : Hannibal -> 520 AD Augustus -> 860 AD

The Financial trait pays off.

I came here now to ask Kanga_Du whih Autolog he is using...
I install the autolog V1.2 file and my tech splash screen doesn't show. I was thinking about changing the python file, but I realized his autolog is actually better than mine.
Kanga_Du, would you paste a link to your autolog, pleeeeease??

Spoiler :
oops, I stuffed my research attacking cities.

Retreat from Ulundi, attack uMgungundlovu.

Tech to Construction

Changed to no State religion in order to trade with Gandhi

Took Ulundi with a stronger force this time.

Construction to CoL

GG in Bibracte, sent to academy in Vivene ( horse river production city)

Shaka RIP 425 AD. CoL in, whipping courthouses.

Stole a barb city from Gandhi. He had two axes attack it. One died, one retreated. I walked in with my elephant!
It's the great Kassite site that Kanga_DU mentioned.

See that Gandhi is so weak, decide to attack to use my UU before longbows appear, even though I want to build.

Declare on Gandhi but decide to avoid the capital , as it has 5 or 6 melee. will burgle the satellite cities and then build

Literature in, Start G-Library in Bibracte.

Napoleon swaps to Buddhism, and OR, so he is annoyed with Gandhi, and spreading my religion.

Need ; remaining satellite Indian cities, peace, and workers, workers, workers. Might lose Liberalism race and GL.
Nowhere near optics.

Kanga_DU. thanks for the link. The Warlords version seems to work fine.
Tatran, I think it doesnt work with past logs. you just get the play that you play after installing it.

No worries fbelintani. If the other players want to pump through the game, we will , and you can do a catch up, right?

It depends on how far we get before Christmas, when things will understandably get sidetracked. I like to keep the pace up so that we can keep a feel for the continuity of the game, but , realistically, some players like to take their time.
No stress, lets see how it goes.

Current situation

Got the eastof the continent pretty much sewn up. Lots of cities are small because I whipped courthouses asap (2-3pop).

Not doing too badly for techs. I've been focussing on broad research rather than particular beelines(got all earlier techs not shown on chart)

In terms of power I'm keeping up, Napoleon ain't hostile and Gandhi ain't aggressive so should be safe for now.

Overall demographics ain't bad but ain't very good either.

Thoughts for the next set
Building great library, its kind of late but at least I've got marble; even if I don't get it I'll get a stash of cash (marble obviously helps).Not planning on any other wonders.

Nottingham will be long term money city with Confu shrine.
Sandhurst will be long term military city once its grown.
Ulundi looks like a good GP factory (3 clams, cows)

Hoping for peaceful building/growing next set. I got 8 workers from Shaka but there's plenty to be done; resources first then cottages. I'll aim to take barb city south of Sandhurst but that will hopefully be it for fighting.
Should produce some missionaries to send to Nap to try to keep him confucian. Might be helpful to switch to OR asap despite the cost (should have switched earlier in retrospect).

Techwise its civil service then heading towards optics.
