[Map] Giant Earth Map

Maybe this has been already corrected with the latest version (or it is just some crazy stuff Humankind does...), but the Lake Baikal natural wonder ended up in weird region in my game - at the southern map edge on small cold island:
Spoiler :

that's not the Giant Earth Map, or something really strange happened...

Hmm...I restarted a few times after a bad opening, so maybe I forgot to check that your map is used just in the attempt I continued that far (and yes, as embarassing it is in this case...I believed all those turns that I played in South East Asia, to busy with getting into the game's mechanics  ). So I think for the moment you can discard my report safely :)

fixed start, the map editor doesn't allow random start, use private MP to select another slot.

After a few playthrough on different starting positions, including 2 in MP, I've made a balance pass to give a bit more food in some of the large forest territories.

v1.0.3 is available on mod.io:

Congratulations to winning the contest

I get an error with v1.03 of the map - probably related to using the new beta. The error say "Map invalid, needs to be reexportet with the editor". Following the advice @V. Soma posted in the Huge Earth Map thread, I entered the editor, tried to "fix" the map - but that notification persists:

damn, that mean I'll have to release 1.04 faster that what I wanted to, fixing the edges require you to drag the last index territory over the bottom edge (they are neighbor, no issue here), then draw that territory in a south-north axis up to the north edge, then erase the north edge with it.

problem is that erasing the N/S edge "free" their indexes and does a shift of all other indexes that are hardcoded for the other mod... and break it

I'll have a look, I'll need to keep the N/S edge indexes by moving their territory a bit without erasing them completely then overdraw their old position with the current last index...

No need, click fix and the game does it for you :D

Ha, thanks, but I'm not on the beta branch at the moment, testing my other mod build on the normal version code.

Thanks, I tried...with an interesting result:

Just downloading the new version and putting it in the map folder isn't enough, still can't use it...

However, after loading it in the editor (where clicking on the validation/save buttons doesn't provoce any visible reaction of the game!) and saving it under a different name, the game is suddenly willing to start with the Giant Earth map:

thanks, would require different versions for normal/beta branches then...

and again, thanks for feedback/suggestions :D

it's a fantastic beginning for the map on HK, but it's just the beginning !

Congratulations again to @Gedemon on winning the top prize.

YnAEMP (for Civ VI) alone has over half a million (?) downloads, am I right?

I mean between the hardware manufacturers and software publishers, that most certainly generated revenue in excess of the cost of the PC.

So Intel is only giving back to the community. About time.

Updated for patch [1.0.3.253] on mod.io
