Marijuana is legal in Washington State

God gave us the tools to figure out more or less everything with some patience, but there are some questions we probably can never answer until we perish. ;)

Or we won't know after we perish. It is always a possibility this all means nothing, and consciousness is nothing more than a series of random chemical interactions reacting with their environment.

Or, when we perish, we may just lose all past memory anyway. Watching my grandma die of alzheimers was like watching the circle of life. She came as a baby, and left as one.

Cemeteries prove people are dead. Period.

(You also seem to be unaware that Hitler did take drugs.)

Cemeteries prove pot is less harmful than booze and tobacco, and Hitler didn't smoke pot - other drugs aint relevant to what I said. You seemed aware of making distinctions between drugs when dismissing LSD trips by people, now you're confusing them with pot :goodjob:

Ann Wilson said she wrote music high

As plenty of other musicians do, but I don't see how exactly Ann Wilson qualifies as a "genius"

thats why I edited my post, arguing over what constitutes genius is a waste of time - but if someone writes great music (now we'll argue over what constitutes greatness) under the influence I'd say the influence was beneficial.

1) Genius think up genius things while high.

2) Geniuses haven't thought of genius things while high. Ever.

3) no proof of 1.

Ergo: 2 is true, 1 is false. Prove me wrong.
Not only are you empirically wrong but your logic is terrible.

Also one of my best friends writes and researches his peer reviewed papers while high as all hell on dank Cali weed. That seemed to be one of your main criteria. That and ignoring the LSD/Crick thing as somehow not getting high.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I'd bet if you smoked a blunt every day for 30 years, you will have greatly increased your chances for lung cancer and emphysema. I know there is no scientific evidence, but to me it is pretty evident. You irritate your organs long enough, you will have problems.

Mostly because blunts have loads of tobacco. And it also depends on the chemical makeup of the cannabis plant you are smoking. I believe it is the CBD content, which doesn't get people stoned at all, that is largely responsible for actively defeating the very carcinogens that the smoking of the cannabis causes. But there are loads and loads of powerful compounds in cannabis plants, all in different ratios, and we've barely began studying any of them.

How do you actively defeat carcinogens?

Why don't we put such chemicals in tobacco?

Why don't we make cars burn such chemicals? Or coal plants or...

I dunno, you tell me why it's illegal.

Why did Bob Marley die of throat cancer?

(And yes yes I know. One case means nothing. I'm just saying stuff for the sake of it.)

Or Rod Serling of Lung Cancer (Tobacco, but hey if we are going to talk about an interest based on human weakness going against the interest of society like Marijuana - We shouldn't forget the road that other, somewhat similar, drugs have taken and the forces of the interests that have pushed for and against)

Trick question.

He died of melanoma. That started on his toe.

I have no idea what this means. It reads like you used some shorthand that is dependent on vocal tone and gestures, which gets lost in the writing. Can you rephrase?
