Mass Effect 3

I really wish there was a biotics/sniper class. And an easier to use face editor... every time I make a character I have to restart and go back to edit the damn face. This time I forgot to change the eyecolour >_<

You can save the face codes pretty easily. I used to have my (then-)current femshep face code in my sig - removed due to space constraints unfortunately :( Then again, it did take a fair amount of trial and error to get that...

If you want biotics and sniping, you could always pick up a sniper rifle on the Collector Ship - only a third of the way through the game - as an Adept. The Viper is hilariously OP and good for covering the Adept's weaknesses.

I think there should be a "test" room where you can run around with your current face design in different lightings and such... Like, control Shepherd as if you were playing, but in a limited environment designed to see your face "in action". Then you can quickly go back to the design screen. The colours are hard to get right I find. And when you play you discover angles and distances from the face that don't look quite as you thought.

Personally, I find it hard to make memorable faces, seems you either look normal or orcish. I've seen a bunch of Shepherds that look quite close to mine, who is still different from default.

Mass Effect 2 "Arrival" DLC info leaked to the public!

Relevant information spoilered for anybody who gives a damn:
Spoiler spoilers :
In the latest PS3 patch for ME2, three Trophies (achievements) were revealed for a DLC named "Arrival". The three trophies (and their names) are as follows:

THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE: Complete the Arrival DLC
LAST STAND: Survive all five waves in the battle for Object Rho
COVERT ACTION: Rescue Dr. Amanda Kenson without attracting hostile attention

Obvious speculation is that the DLC is referencing the arrival of the Reapers to the galaxy. Other relevant bits of information: Dr. Kenson was recently featured in a CDN post about the age of the mass relays (claiming what we've known since the first game, that most of them are much, much older than fifty thousand years old). There are several superficial similarities between this DLC and "Overlord", including the name and the number of achievements, and theoretically the subject matter (lolscience?), but obviously nothing concrete and there's nothing to say that it couldn't be the length of LotSB.

In addition, there was information about a system on the star chart in the recently released Alternate Appearance Pack 2 (the system was not added to the in-game star chart, only in the files) for the Bahak system, a system inside the Batarian Hegemony where there was recently (according to CDN) a confrontation between the Alliance and the batarian navies. This strongly suggests the presence of Alliance/batarian interaction in the DLC, as well as possible cooperation between your squad and the VS (Virmire Survivor). It also contains a beacon for a mission ("Rescue Dr. Kenson") and warnings for all planets in the system: "The Batarian Hegemony considers any presence of Alliance military vessels in batarian space as hostile. The Normandy SR2, while an independent vessel, strongly resembles the Normandy SR1, an Alliance ship. Use of stealth systems is highly recommended."

According to both Chris Priestly and Jesse Houston (BW employees), the leak was accidental and contains real information; they thought the trophy names would be invisible with the patch, but apparently weren't. BW is apparently preparing some kind of official announcement.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE

What is this "Ultimate Sacrifice" jazz about? Is Shepard going to die again, and that's how the opening to ME3 will justify his inconspicuous change in class and appearance?

One of the characters in the DLC is obviously going to be Shale.

Doubtful?

By the way, ME3 promo leaflet came with one of the DA2 editions:

I just got the urge to visit Langley Air Force Base. :D

By the way, they've been teasing out screenshots for Arrival; four have been put out so far (the first four on this page) and they are enticing! The numbers especially are very suggestive...

Woo, doubleposting! Anyway, Arrival is confirmed for a March 29 release. Awesome. Also, Hackett is prominently involved!

More screenshots, including one that just looks incredibly awesome:

Arrival is out today, 560 Bioware points (Why the hell they make you go and buy Bioware points for it on the PC instead of just charging you the price I don't know but at least they fixed/streamlined it so it isn't a hassle like it used to be) aka $7 (and 84 cents of tax). 879 gigs, this better be worth it.

Yes and it only lasted one hour on Veteran. While fun and with a couple different locations as well as a semi-stealth approach (optional, but there's an achievement for it) there is no way this should cost $7.

Save your money and watch it on youtube.

No, it doesn't. It can be done before or after the end game though its intention is to help bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3 and make EA/Bioware richer.

Though it is just as well done as any other mission, just short and not worth the money at all.

I agree. Still the only DLC I'd say is fully worth the cost is Lair of the Shadow Broker.
