It'll be interesting to see how tactics and strategy) differ due to this in the conservative game. Much more limited (at least via experience) promotions and no great commanders or surround and destroy in that game will make combat very different I think. It will likely make heroes even more important
I'm intrigued to see the strategic differences that emerge in all three comparisons. It's cool to play all three and have to adapt to each.I totally agree with this. I can't wait to see what will happen there. It'll feel more like old LoR to me. Here I'm oftenly amazed by how far I can go in some aspect of the game, like number of promos, combination of promos, different terrain usage, number of wonders in one city. There diplomacy will certainly play a much bigger role, and wars will be a lot harder to manage. Also, I've been feeling the map will prove hard to manage to several players, as I already met 2 humans and the terrain seems especially nice to protect, but hard to invade.
Bombard Defense, if strong enough, has the potential to reduce minor bombardment values to 0.I'm confused. What kind of witchcraft is preventing my turtle ships from reducing the defenses of Tharkad? I bombard it and it goes from 240% defense to 240% defense, no matter how many of my turtle ships I use. If the city can't be attacked until I drop it to 50% defense, and my siege weapons can't reduce its defense by any %, how am I supposed to do that? Using a Spy?
Unless the strength by which my units bombard your city is already below the minimum bombard defense of your city, in which case I need better Siege Equipment (I don't remember this ever being a concern in LoR or Vanilla BtS). Just let me know because this seemed witchcraft to me![]()
