Right now, I'm in the process of procuring antidepressants and talking it over with my therapist. It's a combination of long term depression (runs in my family), schizophrenia (which doesn't, strangely) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I appreciate the thought, though.

So, V29 is going to be released tomorrow morning and that means that we need to coordinate a transition. So after Praetyre goes we should have 12padams wait to start the next turn until we've all got V29.

Um - there's still a losing promotions problem if the report in bugs is to b believed (mounted units losing speed). We should wait for that to be fixed IMO.

Great. I missed that earlier, but I guess that means we won't be able to release till Sunday.

I took a cold turkey from my Anti Depressant (Cymbalta) for 6 months ago and haven't had any major "downs" since. There is still some trapped emotions here and there, but it's getting better. I thought it was Biological because I couldn't find any particular reason why I had it so bad. It was not until I read a book about spirituality, that I realized it was only because of thought patterns and a deeply flawed way of looking at life that was the reason for the depression..

But are you a really philosophic thinking person?

Ok my turn will be done soon.

I'm currently busy planning a forum for my OSFirstTimer youtube channel which has over 5,000 subscribers and over half a million views so I'm gunna be less responsive than usual.

Awesome! I had such a revelation some time ago myself. Didn't achieve it AS MUCH through reading though there was some good reads like Celestine Prophecy, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, The 4 Agreements (particularly powerful), and more, that all culminated in an understanding that keeps me free from the bind of even physically driven depression. It really is about understanding that all things negative can be understood to be a good thing if seen from the right perspective... including the feelings of depression itself - it only lingers for so long because it hasn't been properly processed (aka, the message the depression has for you hasn't been fully grasped yet, thus it keeps plaguing you until you truly understand its purpose... ironically, the drugs will impede this process a lot!)

I just to want to say that I'm pretty uncomfortable with upgrading again to v29. I was under the impression that we only upgraded to v28 to deal with big problems with traits, and that we weren't going to upgrade again. Was I wrong?

We said at the start we'd upgrade each time a major release was made

V29 (or at least what we have on the SVN right now) is even more stable than V28, and there aren't any huge gameplay changes that don't involve options (and so would not affect our game). If I were you I wouldn't worry too much about it.

As long as we don't turn on any new options that weren't part of the original voting process, I think I can manage -- but it's going to be very interesting, because I'm going to be playing blind. There are certain options that I would not have agreed to in the first place and would make me quit in an instant if we turned them on.

I also just think it feels wrong that we're changing the rules about every 20 turns (part of this is probably the glacial pace of the game at this time), and there are things I think we won't be able to do at all (like multi-maps -- we can't really regenerate the map to make use of them). I'm also worried about cruft developing on the game as we switch versions. I know back when we had issues about promotion losing-and-regaining, I had a Rifleman unit that would not stop the losing-and-regaining, so that potential bothers me. I know Max Compatibility can handle a lot, but it can't handle everything.

From the sound of the above, this shouldn't be an issue.

This could be an important concern, although I imagine that the game probably won't last long enough for space travel for one reason or another. I'm not quite certain what "cruft" is, guessing that it is basically unintended and unwanted errors in the code, but if the game gets too bad after the 49th update or so (estimated) then we may have to stop just for that. Still, we should have a good amount of game-play in by then.

We really seem to be going nowhere real fast. :p

the problem I feel is that people move on over time. I for example have moved on from doing lets plays since I started this but now here I am still doing this lets play. Even though I am not uploading it I am still making it... Its just that I'm ultra busy now with other stuff such as my youtube channel with over 5,400 subscribers and now my own forum.

Its getting overwhelming and I'm having trouble sticking round here anymore. Let's playing and even caveman2cosmos just isn't my thing anymore. I don't have time for it and my interest has serverrly dropped. It's sad though because its me that started this. If anyones gunna quit it just cant be me. Honestly though if I wasn't the person controlling this thread I would have quit by now.

Sorry to be negative and everything but that's how I'm feeling right now :(
