My wife may be interested in taking your place. We'd have to promise, of course, not to work together in any way. She has her own computer and I'd not be watching her turns. And 12padams is apparently far away from me wherever he is (the only two I currently know are Magnus and Koshling) and she's been a bit interested in this but we were worried y'all would have objections. BUT... his turn is right after mine so it would certainly enable a bit faster turnaround between those turns at least. I'm going to take my turn now but since padams is the first in the cycle, we've got a bit of wait time for the update so we've got a moment where y'all can comment on how you feel about the idea.

I was expecting that 12padams would just retire to avoid further complications, but your proposal sounds like it would have minimal complications. Thus I have no strong preference either for or against.

I have taken Praetyre's save and added/committed it to the SVN. List has also been updated.
It's now 12padams turn. He listed his pass in post #1166.
So if Mrs. T-Brd wants to take over it's ready. If not, either Koshling or myself can take this turn to keep things moving.

I've taken the liberty and just did 12padams last turn.

If he wants this can be the upgrade to v29 point.

Strictly it should be updated before 12padams/mrs TB's turn so that it aligns with a full turn start. However, at this stage it really has little immediate impact, so I'll do the upgrade before I take m urn in the morning.
This means EVERYONE needs to update to V29 (or the equivalent SVN rev 5139) before their next turn.

Okay for clarity, at least for me. I need to Export C2C SVN version 5139 to a folder (I named it SVN 5139) someplace like in my documents or desktop. Once this is done then I need to delete the contents from the C2C MP SVN main C2C folder (where Assets, Source, etc folders live) then from my SVN 5193 folder Copy paste all folders there into the now vacant C2C MP main C2C folder.
Do I need to to save the User settings from the original C2C MP main C2C folder? I'm pretty sure I should to save our set up selections.
Question: Wouldn't it be possible for us to Update the MP svn from your initial update tomorrow?

So I downloaded C2C v29. Which files from the MP do I need to override with the old MP files? Is it just the UserSettings? I forget what we did last time we updated.
Yes that's the right procedure.
I cannot update the MP svn due to the sourceforge bug with HTTPS access that they have never fixed so far as I am aware (it fails on large files so it's impossible for me to complete an upload). For that reason the MP SVN is effectively dead apart from the save files folder (which is small enough to update without issues).
If anyone IS able to update it with V29 then yes, that would be a sensible thing to do (but I'm afraid I can't)

Edit - for those using the SVN here's a tip for a fast way to get to V29 from the SVN (much faster than trying to export it directly):
1) Right click 'Assets' (the only bit we need) in your working copy and select SVN 'Update to revision...' - choose 5139 (aka V29)
2) This will update to that point if you are currently earlier, or revert to it if you are later - either way it'll be only a few files from your current state probably (took about 30 seconds for me)
3) Do a regular export from the assets folder you just updated to 5139
4) Re-update your working copy to latest again
Note - don't try this if you have local changes that have not been committed though - it may trash them
Another point to note is that the only thing you need to change (from the previous V28 installation) is the 'Assets' folder, so you can just update that and not worry about userSettings at all (since it's not in there)

I've swapped the files and of course Assets, Sources and Map file all have the red ! symbol.
So I'm trying to do a Commit. I'm at 2.75Mb at a rate of 6kBytes/s. This is going to take awhile.
Or should I have waited for you to Commit?
Edit: I just passed 5Mb upload and progress bar shows about 2/3rds done. Speed is still in the 3-14kBytes/s.
Should I cancel and wait for you to Commit and then just Update?
