Right, so I go to the folder with the savegame and turnlist files, and the first thing I see are the big red ! on each file, so I guess I did post without Committing. That should now be fixed.

I have no idea how I survived but I did.
If you haven't fought off more than 2 animals yet I believe the barbarian handicap could've kicked in (first two fights with barbs are auto victories on our difficulty setting.) Plus... our units can often take a lot more animal than it may seem when defending on decent territory.

I think it was my 3rd or 4th animal encounter. I was on a hill but no forest. So maybe the hill saved me.
Are we supposed to update our entire mod folder? Here's what I do when updating from SVN:
Edit: It doesn't look like the version on the multiplayer SVN has updated at all. What exactly should I be doing to update so as not to mess anything up?
- Use SVN update.
- Export everything to a backup folder away from the Mods directory.
- Copy everything except the UserSettings folder to the folder in the Mods directory.
