Turn Done, Hydro is up.

Let me then do that on the next turn, so I may change it to another password before I give it to you. It happens I share this password with other stuff, so this is the only thing I ask.

I hope that doesn't happen to me again too. I really missed this game. Things are getting pretty interesting in Gothland ;)

Turn taken here also, so back to Magnus. I also do not object to the posting you suggested, Magnus.

@Acularius - The other game is somewhat further along (we actually have diplomatic relations and trade in that one!)

That does sound interesting as well. Anyone doing AARs and/or gameplay vids?

Not as far as I know. These games are truly a grand pvp experience and for those skilled in the game as much as most of us are, its an invitation to pit your successful strategies you've used to win games against the AI against human opponents that definitely think differently than you may expect.

I know I was squeezed off in both games here territory-wise because I had long ago abandoned the 'grow as fast as you can' strategy that always worked well in Civ I and II and even III when I learned how devastating to the economy this strategy can be in CivIV. But against human players, this learned patience has cost me a LOT of territory to grow into.

So if you've had the patience for it, these games have been exquisitely enjoyable for the unique challenges they present!

Hey Praetrye, alle alle in Free! C'mon Down the Price is Right!

Done. Sorry about the delay, I was too tired due to sleeping trouble one day and forgot about it by mistake on subsequent days. I should note that there are what appears to be black rainclouds (storms?) near my location; perhaps I missed an instruction regarding user settings?

@Praetyre: In game, check your BUG/C2C options and confirm that "No Storms" has an X in it's box. If it does not, then replace your UserSettings folder in ".../Firaxis Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 4/Beyond the Sword/Mods/C2C MP/" with the one in ".../Save+TurnList/US MP game2 saves/".

Note that it is best to delete the one currently in your Mods/C2C MP folder before pasting in the one from the saves folder, as letting it overwrite the old one often does not work properly.

Even if your "No Storms" box is X'd, it may take a few (or several) turns for the storms to dissipate. To me this makes no sense, but it is apparently the way it works.

The main game was supposed to have storms if you recall.

Was it? Oh, well, never mind then I guess.

Of course, the problem with that is that those of us in both games either have to have - and switch between - two different UserSettings folders, or just use the one folder for both games. I'm doing the latter, as trying to switch it each time seems unnecessarily complicated.

I'm using the one folder myself. Maybe we SHOULD just enforce both games onto the one set of options in a core user settings folder.

In the future, for any new games, they probably need to be played on a separate mod folder to keep this from being an issue. I'm quite sure this issue is why we've had storms creep into the other game as well.

I can't get sourceforge to respond this morning, so I am unable to retrieve the latest save in order to play my turn. I'll try again tomorrow (or possibly tonight if I have time)

All working fine this morning with Sourceforge.

HOWEVER, the save that is there from Whisperr is for turn 212. I checked that the previous turn was 215 so someone has uploaded an old game somewhere between my last turn and this one...

I'd bet she would've noticed that if it wasn't taking a month between turns!

But I have to say I pay pretty close attention to what's taking place and I'm pretty sure my last turn was pushing into new ground so... Praetyre? I doubt it was on this side since I do delete all previous turn saves on the system here (can always get them back on the SVN if needbe!)

Well, your last turn was after mine, but anyway I'm sure that I played a new turn too, the months long turn :p

I have checked the save sent to me by Vokarya and it is turn 215. Also the turn I sent to T-Brd was turn 215.

So if T-brd has checked his savegame and it is also 215 then we are down to Praetyre.

I can effectively say yes since my process makes it 100% impossible without jumping through very intentional hoops to end up with an older save being loaded, then committed thereafter.

That and last time this took place it was the same source.
