Surprisingly peaceful. While we are all minors and CAN attack each other, it's been rather honorable, left primarily to skirmishes with criminals and some fun potshots at hunters now and then. Rival stuff but not angry. I think all of us here are just trying to get ahead as hard as we can and don't wish to delay ourselves in the effort of delaying each other.
There's also the sense of competence with my neighbors... aka the suspicion that if we were to invade, we'd get mired in the conflict and potentially even see the tide of the battle turn, particularly if we were to hastily strike, has been a strong deterrent. In the midst of this, those on my continent have shown respect towards each other, even some harmony though I don't suspect any of us are foolishly letting our guards down.
In particular, I've always had a defensive ace up my sleeve, a margin of capability to react, if you will, that I've always held carefully gauged against the apparent preparedness of my rivals. Most of the strength you see on the charts on this continent is actually just defensive power to manage the sheer volume of cities.
I believe all of the players in my lands can competently react quickly, in our own ways, to intrusion. Quite likely enough to repel any assault.
