I guess Mathias is aiming at code of laws -> philosophy -> republic. Is that easy to get?
lurker's comment: On Emp, with a good, growing, not making settlers river city, piece of cake.

Thanks. So, how much discussion is enough? When would I begin to play?

Preflight, 3000 BC (20):
We have 1 settler, 1 worker, and 2 warriors. We know all the 1st tier techs except wheel and burial. Both Byzantine and Inca know burial.
I move the settler to north of the game.

2950 BC (21): Found P'yongyang, starts warrior. A warrior pops 3 barbs from hut.

2900 BC (22): Seoul warrior -> pyramids.
IT: The warrior survives 2 attacks from barbs and promotes.

2850 BC (23) IT: The warrior kills the 3rd barb.

2750 BC (25): Meet Sumeria. But they want masonry + 28 gold for burial. I hold.

2710 BC (26): Seoul reach pop 3, a citizen works a forest. Lux 10%.
IT: Inca founds Tiwanaku near Seoul.

2590 BC (29): P'yongyang warrior -> warrior.

2550 BC (30): Writing is due in 6 turns. Pyramids in 74 turns with 5 spt. Please be sure to do some MM lest wasting food.

Good decision not trading for CB, we want as little pyramids competitors as possible.

What are our war plans? Sword rush sounds good to me.

I didn't trade CB because there was no furthur trade to make, and writing is not far away. War plan? I guess it's no war at all till we buid GLib! Then we can use free tech to make dogpile party. :D

Hmm... Pyongyang might be able to be a 4 turner (if it was a capital definately, but there might be a little corruption).

Yeah, after we become republic. I really doubt how much space will be left to settle then! For this damn culture, we have sacrificed a lot of expansion ... :D

Just build on one of the spices and we steal 2, maybe all 3, assuming of course that spot isn't taken by then.

I suspect that we will not build any settler for a long time! Maybe till pyramids is completed ...

Guys, I will be away till next Monday night, so please swap me if necessary. Thanks! Have fun!

I've noticed that open roster games often have trouble getting into a good flow, possibly because it's not as easy to "make time" if you're not officially up. ;)

If anyone plans to play today, please go ahead and post a got it. I'm tentatively thinking about maybe playing if all is calm at home... that's not an official got it so take it if you want to. :D

Pre-Turn: Looks good.
IT: Sumerians asks us to leave.

2510 BC (1): Let Seoul have the watered grapes for growth.
IT: Seoul grows to size 4.

2470 BC (2): Set slider at 0/8/2. Seoul needs some MP.

2430 BC (3): Iron Working and The Wheel are now known by the AI.
IT: Pyongyang Warrior>Warrior

2390 BC (4): Set slider at 1/7/2

2350 BC (5): Set slider at 3/6/1. Spot purple border.
IT: Writing>Code of Laws. Seoul grows to size 5.

2310 BC (6): Set slider at 0/8/2

2270 BC (7):
IT: Pyongyang Warrior>Granary. Netherlands come into view.

2230 BC (8): Meet the Iroquois

2190 BC (9):
IT: Byzantines are working on the Colossus. Sumerians come into view. Seoul grows to size 6.

-I’ve kept Seoul at growth every four turns. It is still set that way.
-Pyongyang is currently building a granary. It also needs MP so we can lower our lux rate. Switch the build if you want. Wasn't for sure what to build here.

Here's the save.
