Anyone who ever tries to do this sort of thing in the future, I have but one point of advice... make sure you start on an island

That ensures survival till 1AD. If you have peaks on all sides... then till 2000AD .
After that the Deity AI will get the future tech gods to instantly teleport them to your island.

well now he has 75 xp and the barbs stopped coming... a total of 10 xp came from GGs (5 ea from two) so that's 65 xp worth of combat before the barbs stopped.. just a really annoying barb city...

This is unfair, in my game my units stopped gaining XP as soon as the defender was remotely strong enough to guarantee reliable victory ( About Level 3 vs basic barbs )

OK so normally you can't get any more xp from barbs once you have 10 xp and from animals once you have 5 xp. BUT RI has a setting (and C2C) called Barbian Generals that release those resrtictions but lets the barbs get GGs...

Hey Brandon, thx for the great game. You gave me a good laugh. This is almost impossible Only way to beat something like this is with a choke point and a drill IV archer to longbow to keep you alive.

It is also hilarious to see AI civs getting wiped out when playing Deity, Marathon, Huge maps with Raging Barbs on. Beelining the Great Wall is almost mandatory...
