Medieval European Mod II Preview

Where's Portugal's capital in that (Almohad) game?

Up north in Porto. It could be Guimaraes, but not giving the Portuguese a coastal capital cripples them badly. Or I can make Guimaraes a costal town, not sure what's worse ;) Lisbon I thought is way too late for a capital.

I kind of like the painting BG for the LH, but only if all the LHs in the mod were going to have that kind of BG. Since they probably wouldn't, I'll vote for the far right, because I think he stands out a little more from the BG in that one. Again, looks fantastic.:goodjob:

ED I prefer the middle background, looks most medieval too me.

Partizanac - I don't think ED is going to make a new head for Serbia, since the current one we use it pretty nice already.

Iirc Serbia is Industrious and Religious and has a special Knight for UU. Their unique small wonder is St. Sava's Nomocanon, which makes one citizen happy in all cities.

Keep in mind that all civs are open to change, and this might not be the final result of Serbia.

There :D

Thanks :D

Also, hopefully the final version of Lorenzo de Medici, with an Italian cap. This guy caused a lot of problems with lights and shadows so it was changed numerous times and is still not rendered :suicide:

Absolutely brilliant. I'm going to have to use some of these leaderheads for Anno Domini. I'd previously wanted only my own leaderheads in it, but these are just too good to miss out.

You'd wanted William the Conqueror; I've uploaded it to 3d downloads, but there seems to be a problem with the link to it, which I've e-mailed them about.

Looking forward to playing the mod as well when it comes out.

UPDATE: Three minutes later and they've sorted William the Conqueror out for me!

That Irish LH is possibly the finest I have ever seen. :eek: The beard is amazingly lifelike, and the scar across the left eye is subtle but effective. I desperately tried to find something to criticise about it, but could only come up with a question - is the band around his neck genuinely Irish? Looks a bit eastern to me. Only a small detail on a fantastic LH though. :goodjob:

@R8XFT
I'll be most flattered Rob :D There are several leaderheads of yours in MEM as well. And thanks again for uploading the William, I just got and added him :)

@Keroro
It's a torc, a Celtic necklace, definitely worn by the Irish. I don't know, however, if it fits a 10th century king, but it seemed likely :dunno:

...and the last preview for today, Gustav Vasa of Sweden. A bit fishy since he's a 16th century king, although it somehow fits in the mod timeline, right at the end. The flower on the hat has some lights problems as usual :mad: Maybe it'll be better to remove it?
