Medieval European Mod II Preview

Torcs were golden bands worn around the neck, yes. The Irish fought naked except the torc, and seeing as they were head hunters, an item that is worn around the neck seems a good idea, both practically and ritualistically.

I just realized though, it should be probably much smaller. Looks like it was about to fall with a slight movement of the body.

Thanks :D

Also, hopefully the final version of Lorenzo de Medici, with an Italian cap. This guy caused a lot of problems with lights and shadows so it was changed numerous times and is still not rendered :suicide:

Hmm . . . I prefer the version without the cap to be honest.

I think I prefer Lorenzo without the cap too.

The Swedish chap looks fantastic. Definitely keep the flower if possible!

I'm really impressed at how you manage to match not only the faces but also the outfits so closely.

One thing I think is important with Gustav Vasa is his silly haircut. "My mother put a pot on my head and cut off every hair that peaked out."

If you get that right I think he will be very good. :) However, the background looks more like Khazad Dum than anything Swedish I can think of?

As to Lorenzo, I think that the hat looks a bit too small, maybe increase that in size a bit?

Man, I go away for one weekend and you manage to do all this!

I prefer Lorenzo with the hat though.

Rock on!

Thanks to mrtn's help, Vasa 2.0

As far as Lorenzo goes, I figured a hat would be nice since without anything he hardly looks italian - unless you know paintings of him. But maybe not. It definitely causes problems with shadows, the same ones that utahjazz7 mentioned earlier (the hat's brim doesn't cast shadows so the forehead is bright)

embyrodead@ You did both things I predicted, straightned me out on that conquests matter ("flavours" thread) and in the short time I was actually away from this oven, you cooked up some of de best sh#t Ive ever seen. (you know where I mean)
