Medieval European Mod II 2016-10-05

I think that settlers should be enabled in the 11c scenario otherwise a warmongering razer will completely ruin the game. At the moment there isn't that much room to settle elsewhere, so making settlers available wouldn't exactly take away.

This game went quite well for me. It is 1318 and i am at war with the Golden horde, and allied with Kiev. It looks like i will get to expand more into Georgia, after already having conquered three cities of the horde, with little more than seven pronoiai :)

btw White is Austria-Hungary, and next to it is Wallachia. I replaced Hungary and Bohemia, so as to avoid unhistoric massive HRE expansion to the east...

But Austria-Hungary didn't exist before 1848 (or around that time, I'm not 100% sure). Having them in a medieval mod makes no sense.

I assume you mean German expansion into the east? In that case I'm not quite sure I understand why a combined Bohemia and Hungary should be much better at stopping it than the two of them.

Why not? It has almost as many towns as HRE in the first turn of the game, and did infact prevent any expansion of HRE to the east, untill i allied with them against Poland :)

(i know that AH did not exist at the time, but Hungary and Bohemia always got eaten up early on in my other games)..

ps: in case you are wondering: this did not lead to HRE declaring war on Denmark. It was the other way around ;)

Not many cities I notice when your playing this Europe map. On my random continents sofar Ive uncovered over 200 and am yet to discovered the compass!.:)

How did the moors get the Italian city.

I counted 240 cities on pre-placed Euro map with some land still left unsettled, so it can hold 250+. There's actually almost as much land as on a Huge random map with 60% Ocean, because it has only 30% Ocean.

Testing the Crusader States have started. Here I am trying to invade Egypt. Playing as Jerusalem. Sorry for the bad quality though.

Will there be any other scens apart from it?

Btw i noticed that in the MEM11century conquest there is a weird lithuanian city which has 4000+ culture. Im sure that is a mistake. Although i have built 5 wonders in Constantinople i am still second (eventually i will be first, but still it looks rather bad) :)

I am in the age of Constitutional monarchy, and in war with Sicily. The french destroyed Serbia, and stationed 30 units there(!!!). I can only take them out when i will have superior armies, although they still have knights and other peasantry..

Although i sent mountains of gold, iron & horses and techs to Austria-Hungary, its demise was inevitable once it got into war with many other nations, and finally the HRE which delivered the fatal blow.

I also did well to create a wall of pikemen in the northern Caucasus, as the first step of my plan to conquer everything south of that line ;)

The crusade is going well, despite of a sudden attack from the Emirate of Damascus. After loosing two cities they quickly settled for a peace treaty, in which I got two more of their northern cities. As I had no forces in that region to protect them, I handed them over to my locked ally the Count of Tripoli.

So far only the Mongol Invasion one is planned. You can always check the third post (= my post) in this thread for updates on scenarios.

No Lithuanian city starts with that much culture. It must have gotten it the normal way. However remember that Lithuania can sacrifice workers, so that might be the reason.

 Keep the screenshots coming guys! I love watching others' games! Seriously. :)

Well I'm abandoning this game to start correcting all the little mistakes and bugs I encountered, so no more screenies for tonight. (Unless ED turns up I guess ;))

I do not think that it is possible though, since they have no wonders at all. Wait, i will check which one it is.

edit: how does sacrificing workers help with that?

edit: it is Vialystoc. Currently it has 3800 culture points, with Constantinople having around 3700 :shake:

Well you can see in the biq for yourself, if you don't believe me. ;)

When can we expect Crusaders States ?

Not complaining ;) just looking for infos.

When it's done. :p

It will depend on how fast I find I job I guess. The faster I do that, the longer it will take, but don't worry, I'm too lazy to look after one. ;)

I'm not sure. So far we haven't involved anyone else in the mod making, and it have worked quite well. Both ED and myself have become a bit afraid of "teams and democracy" when it comes to modding, as it seems to slow down the process. It's nothing personal, but I want to discuss anything like that with ED before deciding anything.

I'm finished with high school, and taking one year off before I start studying political and social science, so I need to get a job since I no longer get my SU (studie understøttelse in Danish which translates to "student support").
