Meet the Modders

Play on a huge map. You can tell from the image that it will take a while to scroll across your whole empire. :p

Great , i will get more bored to scroll all around just to find my favorite unit lol or to send an army to invade a city lol.
I think i ll pass , i better get Nintendo DS or PSP lol nah i ll pass too
I have a Better idea, just to take my laptop and playing somewhere...
a friend approaching near me and saying,-What are you doing, Me,-trying to beat Blue Monkey lol :p

Interesting use of remote access apps... Now I'm going to have to get together with Padma and see if we can get Civ III to run on Android devices (IIRC, Android is Linux-based) :joke:

Oh, and if anyone wonders what I make besides Civ III unit and other graphics or weird steampunk inventions, well.....

...so yeah, I'm one of those infamous Adult Fans of Lego (AFOLs) that you may have heard of. I've been kind of thinking about trying to bring my bizarre, tongue-in-cheek post-apocalyptic sci-fi/fantasy setting into Civ III, though....

Anyone else tried this?

That's pretty neats. Too bad it's only playable and not enjoyable. Even so, though, worth some cool points! :goodjob:

The second published in a periodical story is now a reality:

My short story "The Darkness", about a crippled student in England, and the narrator's thoughts of her, is now a printed reality :D

Το οκοταδι? That one?

I knew I'd made a typo there.
ο instead of σ.

The publisher of a third magazine just emailed me and asked me to call him. Seems like he wants to publish the third story. He also asked for my biographical note, which i sent.

Hm, three stories in three different magazines, i wonder if this is good or better than 3 in one magazine?

Whe do we change your title from Varwnos to Basileus?

Definitely better. It shows (a) you have broader appeal, and (b) it's not just because you're friends with an editor or something like that.

Well done!

Just sent a story to a lit competition. Results will be announced in May.

Interesting thing was that i read that one of the judges carries the title of "literary agent". I was previously unaware those existed in this country...

I have received a tentative offer to complete my postgraduate work in Dresden. If my sample chapter is good enough, I'll be transferred to the PhD program. If Dresden likes my work, they'll allow me to study there. I'm currently completing a research proposal so I can apply from a travelling studentship, and then I'll send it on to Dresden too, to see if they like it. I'm hoping to visit Dresden in April to meet the department; well, mostly Prof. Schwerhoff.

It's up to me and luck right now.

Good luck Quinzy :)

Today is my birthday, i am now 33 (the age that Jesus died, hm). Just wrote a new short story (it seems i always write on my birthday) and i think it turned out ok.

Thank you :)

Just sent the book to another publisher. Looking forward to not getting a reply from them ever as well :/

No, seriously, it has become very difficult to get replies from book publishers...

Well, with the crisis Greece has sunk into, most people don't have the money to spend on books.
