Er,
Excellent question. Users won't be able to "own" civs as I felt it made it too competitive and people kind of just gave up then it boiled down to 3-4 people plus me.

However, I am still planning this out so any ideas that any of you have, I'd be glad to hear them.

Changed your mind?

Just to point out, you can still have a character :)

The map for Mega Story II: The Unfreezing is now up. Take a look at it and congratulate LemonJelly on his fantastic work.

Also promote this :D

Just checking: are the Grigori on the island on the south-western side, or are they towards the top of the eastern continent?

Can't say anything until I get an accurate overview of the civilizations on the map... Names on the map rather than as a caption might be a good idea, especially since there's so many similar colors.

hehe .... ill make the rest of the Map if yall wish

I already had some-what of an Idea, although Im trying to fiddle with the organization of how the civs react with each other.

I might draw out some provisional borders as well. Typically the Bannor are in the central region of the Eastern continent, as well as "most" of the other nations (generally having a rather high civilization density on the Western Coast of "the continent" ... since there is really only one Continent.

I suppose the Island to the South West would be a home for the Lanun .... at least a main base of sorts, although its obvoius that they would have port cities along the main continent "within" other nations borders ... and most likely points of safe harbor among even foreign cities as well ... for instance among the Dural, Elohim, Malakim (depends on who shares the coast) ... generally The Balseraphs would be the Lanun's opposite number when it comes to coastal regions, particularly situated among the Marsh-Deltas of the Western Bay. Making the Balseraph central to Continental coastal trade (as well as the Lanun of course). In each permutation I usually have the Malakim and Calabim take their own desert, although its feasable that they could share the northern desert. My last permutation had the Calabim on the Northern Desert and the Malakim on the Southern Desert. I also made an extra north-western Desert for the Shieam (out of thin air, an extra peninsula) ... and the land just north of the "north" desert (or mid-continental desert) I turned into marshland with a river delta streaming off of a river coming from the Opposite side of the Irkutsk mountains which form a natural Western Border for the Ljosalphar, and the Umbrawood as a whole.

Where's the map?

The map is in the Mega Story II thread. Please don't post anything in that thread yet as it isn't open yet. All comments and questions/suggestions should be kept to this thread. And don't forget to claim your civ if you want to be involved.

This prethread for MSII (Please no posting in that thread yet) will remain open for a few more days. Anyone interested, but too shy to ask, just PM me and I'll answer any questions you may have, no matter how weird. As for that want to participate tell me which civ you want by bolding the civ's name. If you would like a character, bold the word "character" then PM me and we'll work it out. I certainly hope many of you decide to participate because I'm going to try my hardest to make this fun for everyone.

P.S. If you are underwhelmed with your writing, it doesn't matter. Quality does not matter and any insults or negative comments about stories are not allowed. Each story should be two paragraphs at least, but that's just what I hope. Cheers.

P.S.S. Expect the Mega Story to be started by Friday at the least and Sunday at the most.

I'll either adopt the Elohim as a whole or take a character. Or both :P

Then if somebody else wants to play them they can. So, put me down for both, and if anybody wants to take over the Elohim, they can :)

New map up, ajusted some of the colours to look better, and added the names of UF and Civs :)

I think I'll take Mazatl as a nation, and as my first Character ill take Alexander Uriel- a young noble descended from King Alexander. (or more broadly the Alexander Familial Clan) As there is currently not much of a Hippus government, aristocracy or not, it is currently little more than a historical familty lineage history.

edit. non islationist Mazatl?

Ok, the roster is filling up, this is good. Anyone interested, just let me know which civ in bold and you'll be in.

And as a little tease for you guys. If you recall in Mega Story I, there was Rinwell Isle (Which makes its triumphant return in MSII) and a lot of mystery behind it (Which will be answered this time) and the first ship to set sail there was called the Holy Anna.

Spoiler :
The Legend of the Holy Anna

Many years ago, before the second Ice Age, there was an island known as Rinwell Isle. It is long gone, destroyed by the power of the demons. However, children, a grandfather of yours was one of the first to sail to that island. Would you like to hear the tale? Ok, ok, calm down. I will tell the story, but where to begin.. Ah, yes. About 74 years ago the Lanun, a nation we have long lost contact with due to the ice, had suspicions of an island, Rinwell Isle. Ships disappeared near it and no one ever survived.
However, your grandfather, Thalus Yfit, was paid by the government, a sack of 50 gold, a fortune in these times! Of course he accepted. He gathered his greatest sailors and set out on his vessel, the beautiful Holy Anna. Capable of holding a full 100+ men made it valuable in terms of transport. However, the Holy Anna would not return from this voyage. From diary fragments found on the beaches of islands near Rinwell, they docked on the beach and began to set up a perimeter when the sounds began. At first they were just quiet clicks and pops, as if to keep the explorers on their toes at all times.
Three nights in, the killings began. The explorers fought, from what the fragments say, but they say nothing past going into the jungles to confront the beast that stalks them from within. So do not worry, children, but always be wary of your surroundings, especially if you're Lanun. Good night.
