While playing SGOTM [Links directly to the subforum, not to a thread.] lately, I thought it could be possible to create a few challenges based on micro.
You get a few units/cities and then you have to achieve a goal in a set amount of time. It's a common map theme in several turn-based strategy games (see: Heroes of Might and Magic) and I figured it could also be applied to civ4.
There is an endless amount of possible scenarios if there's any interest
Micro Challenge
This is your generous start.
And the generous techs you have been granted.
The challenge: Play 25 turns and maximize Thebes' size.
I'd ask for spoilers to be used so that nothing is given away too easily. You're free to talk about anything else though.
Settings
To avoid problems, events and barbarians will be disabled.
Difficulty
This one is very easy and should not take much of your time. I mean, how long can it truly be to play 25 turns? All you have to do is submit your turn 25 city.
No hints for this one.
