Another excellant turn from Microbe, as we have come to expect! Taking the Germans out and getting us a GA right as we enter Industrial is most good. If we can get most of the factories up, RP and a good shot at ToE this game will get a lot easier.

IHT: The only resource Osman lacks is Coal, and we have no extras.
IBT: Greeks land at a bad spot on our little Island.
Turn 1: Sell Iron and peter to the ottos for 35 gpt. Bombard Sumerian town. Lose 1 knight, kill 2 rifles, 1 cav and some ships, burn akshank.
IBT: Lose 1 ancient cav, kill 2 greeks on D. Greeks land at a bad spot, we have no D.
Turn 2: Lose cossack to cav. Cossack kills cav, and greek archer. Peace with Greece, they get SP, we get Music Theory, PP, and republic, and an alliance against sumer in 1 package deal. Saltpeter and dyes get us furs, as the incencse went away. Still have to raise lux.
Turn 3: Railroad and MM. Upgrade some units. Apparently our rep became broken as the route to Ottos was cut off for a turn.
Turn 4: Industrialization comes in. Y'all may think I am stupid, but I trade it to the Ottos for WM and 850 gold, and to greece for Demo and 2 gpt. More RR and MM.
Turn 5: Concentrating around our small core with RR. One of the forests by Moscow revealed a Bonus Grassland.
Turn 6: Builder
Turn 7: Builder
Turn 8: Lose cossack to cav, kill cav with knight.
Turn 9: Builder.
Turn 10: Builder
I know this is supposed to be a war variant, but I had some major builder turns. I am trying to get cathedrals built in the large cities so we can drop the lux rate to 0. In the blacktown makes very nice 2 turn cossacks. I would let it do that for as long as we can. The kill ratio kinda sucked at around 1:1, but we are keeping this game interesting. I am going for electricity, hopefully we can trade this for nationalism, as some different specialists would really help. I think Sumeria is mobolized facists, so the whole tech race thing is a non issue.

That was kind of my plan. They have 1 musket and 2 knights on or near our territory. Now that Reinforcements are availible, we can easily deal with them. Plus we will get War Happiness if they break the treaty. Also the thought of warring against us right away may make peace a little dearer to buy.
 
How about ships? I would like to make a landing on the other landmass before Sumeria wipes it clean. If we RoP and land behind Otto lines with defenders and a settler, we can get a foot hold on the edge of Sumerian lands. We need this before they take out everything.

Umm chief, I just played. I upgraded 2 caravels to galleons, but pretty much any productive coastal city was building factories. We are desperately short on all sorts of good stuff though, including defensive units. We need to build a bunch of muskets/rifles, as all our current units are being used for MP duty.

i don't think we can land before they're wiped out. if we could, we would probably land near aydin, which willl be a PITa as soon as ottos lose sinop (mountains). i suggest a landing near agade or isin. we can land on a mountain, and advance on high lands or jungle toward core.
unless you want me to hurry over some units, my turns will be war preparation. plan to send fleet (we have 2 galleons on other coast; means our newly built fleet) to novosibirsk. i think we'll need to wait for some artys.
 
OK, do what you can. It looks like us against Sumeria will be for all the marbles. We must turn greece against them so that we get the extra distraction.
 
I wouldn't get too carried away with landing right now. Our best defender is a musket. Greece should remain at war with someone until the end of the game. I linked allinace with peace.

I sell the Greeks electricity of 96gpt and 242g, this will finance the rest of our research on SciMeth. I start moving the Cats south, I would like to hit those frigates at the end of the island. I think Kafa would be the perfect place to start the invasion. We may want to wait for Flight now. It may take us that long just to get the fleet to a size to make the landing.
