[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

Wow! I gotta say that I just downloaded this mod and I am incredibly impressed! Great job you all.

The only complaint I would have is that the combat AI doesn't work as well as it could. In my recent war, the AI would send a unit or two to attack units in my territory (bordering theirs). Even though they would win that battle, they would then be eliminated themselves. The AI still doesn't understand the idea of bringing large forces together to attack; it holds back too many units. However, I was playing patch "g" and I'm not sure if the AI improvements since then have addressed this.

But, really, the mod itself is great. I really want to thank you all for putting the time into this so that us players can truly enjoy it!

P.S. Are there supposed to be wonder videos? I'm not getting any and am wondering if my media pack didn't install correctly.

short question: are the patches "stand-alone"? meaning: when i was on patch d, can i simply install patch j? or do i have to install e, f, g, h, i, j?
thanks

Well, which 2 modmods?

Orbis: Basically yes, minor graphical issue involving cottages but that may be fixed
Fall Farther: Yep
Fall Farther +:You don't even need FFH, and it's epic btw
Sm I missing any important ones? (Besides Wild Mana which is also stable and definately worth playing)
IMO all the modmods rock, and FFH too.

So it sounds like FF+ is the best version of FFH? Is that right? How epic are the games? I like lengthy games on as big a map as I can get (small on this crappy comp).

For reference, when I'm not in a fantasy mood, I play History in the Making on Odyssey speed small map noble difficulty.

Oh yeah, thanks for the help, naturally.

Well, "best version" is subjective. You might want to poke around the threads for the various modmods to get more information. Or just download them and try them out, then decide which one you like best.

I wouldn't say best modmod. Even if I'm one of the ones making it.

Really, it depends. The best thing to do is try them all, and see which one fits you best. ;)

I kinda like Fall Further but the lag is what I dislike...

It will be nice if there was like an automation for my adept... so he could terraform the land either from plains to desert or another automation that helps turn deserts to plains. Also help construct mana improvements as well...

It also be nice if we ever build any magical towers that attack those enemies that are nearby the towns or forts... too bad their no automatic bombardment for those that are near.

To me, I see forts are useless... and It just get on my nerves when my automated workers construct on a resource... sure it's an alternative to get the resources but i prefer it to be a mine...

Too bad there is no diversity of the terrain here. It be nice to see a few grassland has some flowers so that the plains and grasslands look pretty then plain grass, and see withered flowers or black grass when Armageddon is near. Terrain and world Transformation all in the Armageddon system.

I uploaded the file to rapidshare for all those who have problems downloading the mod from the original download sites

You can easily defeat the download limit by redialing your internet connection, you need to get a different IP.

I had to divide the original file into 2 files with WinRar due to the upload limit, download both files into one directory and extract the file from the archive.

edit: links updated 6th July 2009

Got both files and the installer gets an corrupt after verifying 87 %.
GREAT SHARE !

Where can i find the changelog for all the changes between patch "d" and patch "j"?
i've been looking, and did a search, but can't find it...
thx
